  • Patent number: 8210159
Abstract: A multiple eye paintball loader motor controller having a container and an outfeed tube to direct paintballs to a marker. Ball sensors are in the loader outfeed tube to predict incoming paintballs and the rate of supply. A controller is connected to the ball sensor to sense the incoming balls to control or adapt the operation of the loader in accordance with the supply rate. Secondary sensors may also be utilized to provide additional information. Secondary sensors may be placed in the outfeed tube, placed to provide supplemental side information, or a combination of these placements. Various placements provide feed rate information and may also detect jammed ball positions in the transition area at the end of the outfeed tube.

  • Patent number: 6912520
Abstract: A system and method for managing persistent objects with a persistent object framework is disclosed. The persistent object framework receives queries and instructions from an application for data from the persistent objects. The persistent objects are stored in data sources, such as databases or repositories. The persistent object framework may create, save, update, access, search, and delete persistent objects. Further, the persistent object framework caches applicable persistent objects for the application. The persistent object framework provides the caching for the persistent objects. The persistent object framework supports both Lightweight Directory Access Protocol and relational databases.

  • Publication number: 20050097130
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining the usage of space in a database is provided. A first set of space usage data that reflects the amount of free space associated with one or more tablespaces of a database is stored at a first database server. A second set of space usage data is retrieved from one or more other database servers. The first set of space usage data and the second set of space usage data are both updated based on changes made to the database by the particular database server storing the space usage data. The first set of space usage data is updated at the first database server with the second set of space usage data. The first database server may evaluate the usage of space in the database based on the updated first set of space usage data.
