Abstract: Devices are provided for regulating the temperature of an organ being transplanted that includes a housing including one or more walls surrounding a cavity sized to receive an organ and an opening for accessing the cavity. The walls include an inner layer defining an inner surface for contacting the organ placed in the cavity, an outer layer defining an outer surface of the housing, and a cooling layer between the inner and outer layers, e.g., including a phase-change material configured to absorb thermal energy from the organ within the cavity through the inner layer, e.g., to maintain the organ within a target temperature range before and/or during a transplantation procedure. Optionally, the device may include one or more additional features, e.g., a handle to facilitate manipulation, one or more straps securable across the opening to secure the organ, and/or a temperature sensor to monitor the temperature of the organ.

Abstract: One embodiment of the disclosures made herein is a method for activating services in a Passive Optical Networking (PON) system. In accordance with such an embodiment, an Optical Line Terminal (OLT) within the PON system is pre-provisioned with PON services and with at least a portion of information required for facilitating automatic activation of the PON services. Pre-provisioning is defined herein to mean that such provisioning is performed prior to installing an ONT (i.e., a network interface device) that will serve such to services at the service subscriber's site and that is controlled by the OLT. After installation of the ONT is complete, the PON services served by the ONT are automatically activated using at least a portion of the pre-provisioned information and information discovered about the ONT during a post-installation discovery process.

Abstract: Apparatus for gripping and lifting objects such as fence posts. A frame carries a pair of grippers that are slidingly movable along the frame to grasp a post or other object. The grippers may pivot so that the object remains in essentially constant vertical orientation despite arcuate motion of a tractor or other lifting machine by which the frame is lifted. The grippers may be actuated by hydraulic or other power provided by the lifting machine.

The telephone extension number is associated with the session ID(s). When the consumer dials the telephone number and provides the telephone extension number to make further inquiries about the home, the telephone call is directed to a call center, and an operator at the call center uses the telephone extension number as input to a lead tracking computing system that uses the telephone extension number to locate the associated session ID and to access the corresponding browsing data.
