  • Publication number: 20240054796
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods that allow an image of a fabric sample to be captured. The image may be analyzed to extract features, sometimes referred to as a stitch parameter, of the fabric's construction, such the use of one or more stitch types. Using the stitch parameters, a build specification can be selected from a plurality of build specification. Each of the plurality of build specifications may be associated with at least one of a plurality of known fabric constructions. The build specification may be exported and then used to construct a fabric similar to the fabric sample captured in the received image.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 10850336
Abstract: A coolant bonnet for a cutting tool includes a head portion, a shank portion, an internal coolant passage extending through the shank portion and into a coolant manifold disposed within the head portion, and one or more coolant ducts extending radially outward from the manifold to an outlet port. Each coolant duct is aligned with the chip flutes of the cutting tool and directs coolant at a predetermined exit angle in an axially rearward direction toward the cutting edges of a cutting insert mounted on the cutting tool. A method of providing coolant to a cutting edge of a cutting insert mounted on the cutting tool is also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 17, 2019
Date of Patent: December 1, 2020
    Assignee: KENNAMETAL INC.
