  • Publication number: 20080182062
Abstract: A hermetically sealed glass package and method for manufacturing the hermetically sealed glass package are described herein. In one embodiment, the hermetically sealed glass package is suitable to protect thin film devices which are sensitive to the ambient environment. Some examples of such glass packages are organic emitting light diode (OLED) displays, sensors, and other optical devices. The present invention is demonstrated using an OLED display as an example.

  • Patent number: 7006228
Abstract: The present invention provides methods for measuring Fe (II) and Fe (III) levels in a glass composition, for using those measured levels for determining a relative oxidation state of the glass material, and for further making a determination based on those measurements as to the quality of the glass material. In addition, methods are presented for determining the reliable quality of ultra fine/ultra thin glass in the time and labor efficient manner.
