Abstract: A system including a provider module configured to generate search keys for events in a list of events for distribution to a plurality of consumer premises equipment, where the events represent media content accessible by one or more of the plurality of consumer premises equipment. The system also includes an update module configured to generate an update message corresponding to a change in the list of events. The update message includes a search key mask defining one or more search keys to which the change relates and an update command configured to instruct the plurality of consumer premises equipment to update the respective distributed list of events.
