The brace has a first end pivotally coupled to the handle at a second pivot axis that is spaced apart from the first pivot axis along the handle and an opposite second end pivotally coupled to the lifting frame at a third pivot axis that is between the link arm and the first pivot axis along the lifting frame to thereby achieve a mechanical advantage for pivoting the lifting frame relative to the base frame as the handle is pivoted about the first pivot axis.

In some embodiments, the features are described for a bleed valve assembly, to reduce the decibels produced when used in high pressure contexts, such as aircraft engines. The noise suppression features are integrated with the valve assembly. A valve, such as a stem and valve head, can move within the assembly between open and closed positions. The valve assembly can be manufactured using additive layer manufacturing (ALM) to create a monolithic housing that in some embodiments has the noise suppression features built into the assembly.

Abstract: A water based primer and a method for protecting iron or steel materials against corrosion by first priming with a water borne primer composition containing a) a binder of one or more acrylic copolymers based on one or more acrylic monomers and one or more chlorinated monomers, b) a corrosion inhibiting pigment, c) one or more further pigments, d) optionally conventional additives and/or adjuvants, and e) water and then coating with a bituminous material. Contrary to the current primers on organic solvent basis the water borne primer gives low to no emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and still fulfils the requirements for anti-corrosive effect, cohesive and adhesive strength.

Abstract: A reinforced container assembly and method for making the same are provided. The reinforced container assembly comprises a fiberboard container and a first reinforcement strap. The fiberboard container has a lower portion and an upper portion. The first reinforcement strap wraps continuously around a periphery of the container a plurality of times in a spiraling manner from a starting point of the reinforcement strap to a terminating point of the reinforcement strap. The reinforcement strap physically connects to the container at a first location. The reinforcement strap is further physically connected to the container at second location. The reinforcement strap provides structural support to the fiberboard container to increase the strength of the container assembly.

The end walls include hinged platform structures movable between a closed position and an open position. The closed position enables stable stacking of multiple containers and the open position allows easy access to the interior of the container for loading and unloading. The hinged platforms further add stability to the container walls when in the closed position.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for producing, on a commercial scale, forming tubes of high quality and uniformity including one or more beads on the outer periphery of the tubes which terminate a desired distance from the tube end edges by sequentially cutting the bead cord material to the desired length and at the desired time relative to the tube ends and feeding such cut bead cord material between selected tube plies during the winding of the plies on a mandrel to form tubular material and then cutting the tubular material to form tubes of the desired length. Also, such apparatus and method provide for the picking up and rolling of the beads which are interrupted on the outer periphery of the tubular material and the subsequent cutting of the tubular material intermediate such bead interruptions.
