  • Publication number: 20110192153
Abstract: The invention relates to an exhaust after treatment assembly. There is a need for such assembly which remains as cool as possible. An exhaust after treatment assembly includes a hollow housing containing an exhaust after treatment unit. The housing forms a nozzle which directs exhaust gases away from the after treatment unit. A shield surrounds and is spaced apart from the housing. A venturi unit receives exhaust gases from the nozzle and receives outside air. The venturi unit pulls outside air over an exterior of the shield and mixes the outside air with exhaust gases flowing though the after treatment unit. The venturi unit is mounted inside a hood which surrounds part of the housing. Outside air is drawn through an annular gap which is formed between an end of the hood and an end of the shield.

  • Publication number: 20090146458
Abstract: The invention relates to a vehicle component configuration. There is a need for a tractor design which results both in a low operator position and a minimal foot obstruction. A vehicle includes an engine, a transmission, a driveshaft, a rear axle housing, a frame and a seat supported on the frame. The driveshaft has a front end coupled to the engine and a rear end coupled to the transmission. The transmission is positioned under the seat, rearward of a normal operator foot position and immediately adjacent to the rear axle housing. The front end of the driveshaft is lower than the rear end of the driveshaft. The driveshaft extends along a driveshaft axis which is oriented approximately 1.5 degrees with respect to a horizontal plane. The engine has an output shaft which is parallel to the driveshaft, and the transmission has an input shaft which is parallel to the driveshaft.

  • Patent number: 6918689
Abstract: An auxiliary light assembly is provided for a tractor having a front-mounted implement. The assembly includes a lower support and an upper support pivotal with respect to the lower support. The lower support has a cylindrical member which is attached to a frame. Detent recesses are formed in an upper end surface of the lower support. The upper support has a lamp housing attached to an end of a support rod, and a detent member. The detent member is selectively received by the recesses to releasably hold the upper support in selected positions relative to the lower support. A bushing member is received by the support members to maintain axial alignment thereof. A spring is received by the support members, and is biased to urge the support members towards each other.
