  • Patent number: 6754757
Abstract: A network box is described. In one embodiment, the network box comprises multiple card slots. Each of the slots has multiple ports. The network box also includes a full mesh interconnect backplane coupling each of the cards slots to each other using point-to-point serial links. The network box includes at least one card inserted into one of the slots. This card has a controller to maintain information specifying a mapping of connections between each of the ports on each of the card slots in order to configure connections between the card ports of the plurality of card slots.

  • Patent number: 5627720
Abstract: A power distribution box is provided with built in surge suppression capabilities that can be service without interrupting power to downline circuits powered from the power distribution box. A socket is wired directly to the busses supplying power to the circuit breakers in the power distribution box. The socket is designed to accept a surge suppression module that can be removed and replaced while the electrical connections in the socket are "hot." To prevent accidental electrocution the electrical contacts of the socket are place below the surface of the socket. Additionally, the stab-in connectors of the socket and the corresponding stabs of the surge suppression module are arranged in such a way as to ensure that the module is properly polarized when inserted into the socket.

  • Patent number: 4213017
Abstract: Disclosed is a multiple switch assembly including first and second push-push switches positioned side by side. The operating member of the first switch carries a shoulder which cooperates with a peg on the second switch operating member so as to move the second switch along with the first switch when the first switch is moved from a first to a second position. Additionally the second switch carries a resilient strip which during movement of the second switch beyond its second position, is deflected towards and engages the first switch operating member. The resultant movement on the first switch operating member releases it from its detent such that by pushing said second operating member, said first and second switches are returned to their respective first positions. The resilient member acts as an effective interlock element to assist in the retention of the operating members in the depressed position and the automatic return of both operating members to the first position.

  • Patent number: 4124791
Abstract: An electrical switch wherein electrical contacts are carried within a hollow body and an operating member is slidable in the body to operate the contacts. The operating member is in the form of first and second similarly shaped and interengaged parts the interengagement of the parts, permitting limited movement of the parts relative to one another in the direction of movement of the operating member relative to the body. A spring is trapped between the interengaged parts and urges the parts away from one another in the direction of movement of the operating member whereby during initial movement of the operating member from a rest position the contacts are operated and no relative movement between the first and second parts of the operating member takes place, but during further movement of the operating member relative to the body in the same direction, the first operating member part is moved relative to the second operating member part against the action of the resilient means.

  • Patent number: 4078663
Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating selected seeds from unwanted seeds wherein a mixture thereof is fed to a moving inclined surface having a pile with fences disposed above the surface and at an angle to the direction of movement of the surface, the unwanted seeds being carried upwards by the pile and the selected seeds being discharged at the bottom.

  • Patent number: 3982090
Abstract: A detent component for use in a detent assembly of the kind capable of latching a linearly movable member in a predetermined position relative to a fixed member includes a mounting piece whereby the component can be secured to either the movable or the fixed member of a pair of relatively linearly movable members. Additionally, there is a cam follower carried by the mounting piece which is engageable with a detent cam form on the other of the pair of members. The cam follower is defined by an upturned end region of a first limb of a hairpin type spring the second limb of which engages a stop on the mounting piece. The junction region of the first and second limbs defining a loop encircling an anchor post on the mounting piece and the first limb abutting a pair of spaced abutments on the mounting piece.
