  • Patent number: 11975737
Abstract: This provides locations for mounting controllers and processing components that effectively employ the roof within a frame covered by a cowling so as to avoid exposure to weather and the environment. The roof is also employed to provide a sensor bar that extends across the vehicle width for a distance that does not interfere with normal vehicle function or generate potential overhangs, which can inadvertently engage objects or vehicles. The bar is sufficient in size and shape so as to allow mounting of a plurality of types of sensors on its top surface and/or recessed within front or rear edges. Such sensors can include visual light cameras for machine vison processes and/or LIDAR of various types and cooperage areas/fields of view—some of which can be recessed within a hollow region of the bar. Additional sensors can be mounted on the truck cab and/or chassis, including visual-light cameras and radars.

  • Publication number: 20230145675
Abstract: A trailer control box may receive a wireless message from a controller of the tractor. The trailer control box may validate and authenticating the message. The trailer control box may control an emergency-brake valve based on the message when the message is an emergency-brake command. The trailer control box may control a service-brake valve based on the message when the message is a service-brake command. The trailer control box may control at least one switch to operate trailer lights based on the message when the message is a light command. In certain embodiments, autonomous-capable socket is mounted to a trailer and includes: a chamfered outer casing, a plurality of electrical connectors, a service-brake air aperture, and an emergency-brake air aperture. The autonomous-capable socket required a single autonomous connection by an autonomous tractor.

  • Publication number: 20230118873
Abstract: Systems and methods allow for controlling brakes of a trailer coupled to a tractor. The systems and methods utilize an inversion valve input between an emergency brake controller and a trailer connection at the tractor. The inversion valve receives a supply air from an output of the emergency brake controller, and a control air output from a treadle valve of the tractor. Depending on the control air, the emergency brakes at the tractor may be released/activated to simulate service brake control without requiring connecting the tractor to the trailer service brake line.

  • Patent number: 8293805
Abstract: A method of tracking production from an NG source that includes the steps of providing one or more micro-scale GTL units, feeding NG from the source to the micro-scale GTL units, operating the micro-scale GTL units and adjusting the number of micro-scale GTL units employed to track or match the production from the source is provided. In some aspects of the invention, the micro-scale GTL unit includes both syngas manufacture and liquid product synthesis. The liquid product synthesis step may produce methanol, mixed higher carbon number alcohols, dimethyl ether, Fischer-Tropsch liquids, and/or any combination of these products.
