  • Publication number: 20250076465
Abstract: An example electronic system utilizing an optical ranging, proximity, and/or image sensor configured with retroreflective mechanisms to reduce unwanted optical noise at an optical radiation receiver are provided. The example ranging, proximity, and/or image sensor is configured to include a housing cap having a transmission opening and a receiving opening. The example sensor may further include an optical radiation source positioned to direct ranging optical radiation through the transmission opening toward a target object. An optical radiation receiver is positioned to receive ranging optical radiation reflected off the target object through the receiving opening. A retroreflective mechanism implemented on a surface of the housing cap directs unwanted optical noise back towards an unwanted optical noise source and away from the optical radiation receiver. Properties of the target object may be determined based on one or more properties of the ranging optical radiation received at optical radiation receiver.

  • Patent number: 11049070
Abstract: A method includes receiving currency demand data for a plurality of cash-points, and currency attribute data for notes at each of the plurality of cash-points. The method also includes determining a first currency allocation indicative of a current allocation of the notes at each of the plurality of cash-points based on the currency attribute data. The method still further includes determining a second currency allocation indicative of a future allocation of the notes required to meet an expected currency demand at each of the plurality of cash-points based on the currency demand data. The method additionally includes determining a schedule for transferring the notes between one or more of the plurality of cash-points to meet the second currency allocation and initiating transfer of the notes according to the schedule to effect the second currency allocation in the cash-points to meet the expected currency demand.

  • Patent number: 10657751
Abstract: A method and system performing the method includes receiving currency inventory information from a plurality of cash-points. The method also includes receiving a currency shipment request from a first cash-point. The method further includes determining a set of eligible cash-points from the plurality of cash-points based on the currency inventory information, each eligible cash-point being associated with a respective currency inventory having sufficient currency reserves to fulfill the currency shipment request. The method still further includes receiving an offer from each eligible cash-point, each offer indicative of an asking price for fulfilling the currency shipment request. The method additionally includes determining a selected cash-point to fulfill the currency shipment request based on the offers. The method even further includes initiating shipment of currency from the selected cash-point to the first cash-point.
