  • Patent number: 11080447
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system provide the ability to design a part to be physically produced. Structured requirements objects for a component are created and each object is a mandatory functional or logical characteristic of the component. Logical system volumes are created in a component system using a computer-aided design (CAD) program. Each of the logical system volumes is an abstract geometric three-dimensional volume in a virtual context of the part to be physically produced. The structured requirements objects are linked to each of the logical system volumes. A part shape is built in the component system using the same virtual context of the part to be physically produced. Volume intersections are determined as the logical system volumes that the part shape intersects with. The structured requirements objects that are linked to the volume intersections are collected. The part is designed based upon the collected structured requirements objects.

  • Patent number: 8490053
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a software domain model that enables simultaneous independent development of software components. A system using this model includes a first component, a second component, and a core layer that defines an item that can be accessed by the first and second components. Both components are able to independently and separately extend the definition of the item. A high-level software layer uses a set of micro-orchestrations to perform a holistic task, with each micro-orchestration invoking a piece of functionality in a component, the core layer, and/or the software layer.

  • Patent number: 7480710
Abstract: A routing module resolves the conflict of IP addresses among at least two devices connected over a network. The routing module assigns a global IP address to a device based on the addressing configuration of the device. The outbound packets are sent with this global IP address. A record of the global IP address assigned to the device, the local IP address and MAC address are maintained by an information module. Where the local IP address of two or more devices is the same, the MAC address is used to determine the appropriate destination device. Routing module determines the entry in the information module that corresponds to the global IP address included within the IP header of inbound packets. The inbound packets are sent to the local IP address and MAC address of the appropriate destination-device that is derived from the entry that corresponds to the global IP address.

  • Publication number: 20070180187
Abstract: Power consumption of a mobile communication device is reduced by disabling refreshing of unused portions of DRAM. DRAM includes multiple separately refreshable memory refresh ranges (MRRs). A memory refresh manager (MRM) within the device's operating system identifies ranges of virtual memory that will not be used during subsequent sleep mode operation. The MRM remaps virtual to physical memory space to conglomerate the physical memory pages (associated with virtual memory that will not be used) in certain MRRs such that the contents of entire MRRs need not be maintained in sleep mode. Information in any remapped physical page that needs to be maintained during sleep mode is copied so that it resides at the same virtual address after the remapping as before. Other software operates in virtual memory space and is not affected by the remapping. Refreshing of the certain MRRs is then disabled for sleep mode, thereby reducing power consumption.

  • Publication number: 20070015232
Abstract: Mitosis of cells is determined, particularly in the presence of a candidate agent, using cells comprising members of an enzyme fragmentation complex pair, where one of the members is in the nucleus and the other member is in the cytoplasm. By growing the cells where mitosis may occur, one adds a substrate providing a detectable product, where the production of the detectable product is indicative of mitosis.
