  • Publication number: 20230082247
Abstract: A method of obtaining a purified regenerated diacid from a depolymerization of a polyester in a waste material wherein the depolymerization provides a depolymerized mixture comprising a regenerated diol, a regenerated diacid, and a catalyst is disclosed. The method comprises: separating a regenerated composition including the regenerated acid and the catalyst from the regenerated diol; providing the regenerated composition in a liquid medium to form a pre-aged mixture; subjecting the pre-aged mixture to thermal cycling wherein the cycling occurs within 25° C. and within a temperature range of from 150° C. or more to 300° C. or less to form an aged mixture; and separating the regenerated composition from the liquid medium in the aged mixture.

  • Publication number: 20090030222
Abstract: Systems and methods of functionalizing particulates are provided. A method of functionalizing particulates includes providing particulates to a reactor, fluidizing the particulates in substantial absence of solvents, providing a silane containing material to the fluidized particulates, and reacting the silane containing material with the fluidized particulates to provide silane-functionalized particulates. The silane-functionalized particulates may be utilized in separation media and other industrial applications.

  • Patent number: 6126803
Abstract: A method for removing a particulate from a liquid silicon containing compound. The method comprises contacting a suspension comprising a non-conducting liquid silicon containing compound and a particulate having a different dielectric constant than the non-conducting liquid silicon containing compound with a non-conducting packing substrate in an electric field. The present method is especially useful for removing suspended particulate ranging in size from about 0.01 to 100 microns from silicon fluids.
