  • Publication number: 20110192191
Abstract: A process for at least partly regenerating a first absorption solvent stream, at high pressure, and loaded with a dissolved gaseous component X; comprising the following steps: contacting a feed gas stream with a lean second absorption solvent stream thereby producing a rich second solvent stream and a stripping gas stream that has a lower concentration of X than said feed gas stream; heating at least part of said rich second solvent stream by up to 100° C. before or during contacting it with a part of said stripping gas stream to produce a regenerated second solvent stream; and regenerating the loaded first solvent stream by contacting this stream with a further part of said stripping gas stream to yield a regenerated first solvent stream.
