  • Publication number: 20230404595
Abstract: An actuation assembly for a tissue recruiting device for recruiting tissue and closing a defect. The actuation assembly includes one or more control actuators operable to control the position and rotation of an actuation element coupled to a grasping device. The grasping device is configured to grasp tissue. The actuation assembly is operable by a user to deploy the grasping device via the actuation element to grasp tissue. The actuation assembly may independently deploy multiple grasping devices, such as on opposite sides of a defect. The actuation assembly may also deploy a closure mechanism configured to circumferentially surround the deployed grasping devices to close the defect.

  • Publication number: 20230371938
Abstract: A tissue recruiting device for treating and closing a defect and methods of using the same. The tissue recruiting device includes a tissue recruiting assembly with two grasping devices and a shroud. An actuation assembly couples control actuators to the grasping devices via actuation elements. The grasping devices may be maneuvered to grasp tissue from different locations by actuation of the control actuators. The grasping devices may be retracted into a shroud to substantially close the defect. The grasping devices and the shroud may be decoupled from the remainder of the tissue recruiting assembly to maintain closure of the defect.

  • Publication number: 20160034972
Abstract: An ad serving system accepts a request for one or more ads, determines a set of eligible ads from among ads having a guaranteed serving reservation and ads with uncommitted serving. This may be done using information from the accepted request, wherein the set of eligible ads may include at least one ad having a guaranteed serving reservation and at least one ad with uncommitted serving. A set of ads to serve is determined from the set of eligible ads using an arbitration process, and the determined set of ads is served. Ad serving guarantees may be generated and/or desired ad serving guarantees may be checked using an inventory test and/or a price test.

  • Publication number: 20150099246
Abstract: A method is provided for assigning a relative score number to foods. Assignment of a relative score number to foods allows consumers to select foods that will provide a desirable diet. Equations are provided which are effective to yield a predicted raw score based on measured characteristics. The predicted raw score statistically correlates to a raw score that would be determined by an actual panel. The predicted raw scores are further processed to provide a relative score number that can be easily tracked by a consumer.

  • Patent number: 8788336
Abstract: An advertiser may be provided with fast and accurate estimates of the future cost and/or performance information for one or more actual or hypothetical ads (generally referred to as “proto-ads”). Past auction information may be used to simulate auctions that the proto-ad would have competed in. The proto-ad may then participate in a “replay” of such past auctions.

  • Publication number: 20110225986
Abstract: This invention relates to gas vaporization and supply system that includes (a) a vessel suitable for holding a bulk quantity of a liquefied gas; (b) at least one heating source positioned on or near the vessel to supply energy to, or remove energy from, the liquefied gas; and (c) a heating source controller adapted to use process variables feedback for dynamically regulating the heating source and maintaining and regulating gas output. The process variables feedback results from cascading sequence control of at least two process variables. The process variables include pressure, temperature, and/or gas output flow rate. This invention also relates to a method for delivery of a gas, e.g., ultra high purity gases, from a liquefied state in a controlled manner to a usage site, e.g., a semiconductor manufacturing facility. This invention provides faster heating system response to fluctuations in customer demand, a longer heater life, and improved reliability.
