Patent number: 9413601Abstract: A first network device determines whether a first reference code included in at least a first transmission on a communication channel is associated with a code configured in the first network device. The communication channel is shared among a plurality of communication networks and the first reference code is associated with a first communication network of the plurality of communication networks. The first network device joins the first communication network associated with the first reference code in response to determining the first reference code is associated with the code configured in the first network device. The first network device communicates with a second network device in the first communication network using the code configured in the first network device.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 2013Date of Patent: August 9, 2016Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Joubin Karimi, Ehab Tahir, Brian James Langlais, John Fraser Chappel, Son Binh Cam, Richard David Roze, Gregory Allen Magin, Celestino A. Patent number: 5673900Abstract: A process for recovering metal from scrap using a furnace having a bath chamber, a dry hearth chamber, an exhaust duct, and an incinerator for burning fumes from the dry hearth chamber is presented. The process includes conveying oxygen or oxygen enriched air to the incinerator in order to produce a desired oxygen concentration within the incinerator; introducing at least a major portion of the gases leaving the incinerator into the bath chamber; venting a minor portion of the gases from the bath chamber through the exhaust duct; and passing at least a major portion of the balance of the gases through the dry hearth chamber and recycling the balance of the gases to the incinerator, and wherein the concentration of oxygen present in one of the furnace and a duct which conveys hot combustion gases from the incinerator to the furnace is determined, and the volume of oxygen admitted to the incinerator is controlled in order to maintain the desired oxygen concentration within the incinerator.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 1995Date of Patent: October 7, 1997Assignee: Benjamin Priest LimitedInventor: Eric Keith Riley

Patent number: 4799639Abstract: A clamp for use in attaching items to an overhead flanged beam comprises a first jaw 10 and a second jaw 11. First ends 13 and 15 of the jaws are shaped for engagement respectively with the flanges of an overhead flanged beam. Second ends 16 and 17 of the jaws are pivotly interconnected by a pivot bolt 18. Attachment means in the form of a shackle 20 is attached to bolt 18. Attached to each jaw is a swivel 24 and the swivels 24 are threadedly interconnected by a screw threaded rod 27. When the rod 27 is rotated, the jaws 10 and 11 move towards or away from one another. The swivels 24 are connected to the jaws by bolts 26, so that the swivels and bar 27 are readily removable for maintenance or replacement.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 1987Date of Patent: January 24, 1989Inventor: Keith Riley
