  • Patent number: 11949739
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer program products are provided for managing geographically distributed data storage in a group-based communication system and for servicing deletion requests related thereto. In some embodiments, an apparatus physically located in a first geographic area defined by a first geographic boundary is provided. In embodiments, upon determining that an entity identifier associated with a message is associated with a geographic data storage policy, the apparatus is configured to transmit a geographic data residency message package comprising message data of the message to a geographic data residency server physically located within a second geographic area defined by a second geographic boundary. The second geographic area is associated with the geographic data storage policy. In some embodiments, the apparatus is configured to update the message data of the message with residency token data received from the geographic data residency server.

  • Patent number: 11936770
Abstract: A method includes receiving data and a plurality of values at a processor. The data can include real-valued data and/or complex data. The plurality of values includes one of a plurality of random values or a plurality of pseudo-random values. The method also includes generating an automorphism, via the processor, based on the plurality of values, and partitioning the data, via the processor, into a plurality of data blocks. The automorphism includes at least one of a linear transformation or an antilinear transformation. Each data block from the plurality of data blocks can have a predefined size. The method also includes applying the automorphism, via the processor, to each data block from plurality of data blocks, to produce a plurality of transformed data blocks, and causing transmission of a signal representing the plurality of transformed data blocks.

  • Publication number: 20230192284
Abstract: A system to prevent or limit resonance in a rotocraft. The system comprises an airframe, a rotor system having a natural frequency and including a rotor and a mast attached to the airframe, and a non-linear spring positioned between the rotor system and the airframe. The rotor system and the airframe are operable to move relative to each other as the rotor system begins to oscillate. The non-linear spring is configured to be deformed when the rotor system and the airframe move relative to each other such that the deformation of the non-linear spring causes the natural frequency of the rotor system to change. Also disclosed is a related method for preventing or limiting resonance in a rotorcraft.

  • Patent number: 11035851
Abstract: Methods of identifying potential skin moisturizing actives for the treatment of dry skin and method of formulating a moisturizing skin care composition using actives identified by the method. Moisturizing agents can be identified by comparing the transcriptional profile of a skin tissue sample contacted by a test agent to a negative or positive control to determine if the regulation of certain genes corresponds to the appropriate direction of regulation indicated by the control. Agents identified as skin moisturizing agents can then be incorporated into a skin moisturizing composition.

  • Publication number: 20180216897
Abstract: Rotary wheel regenerator are described that use polymer, paper, metallic or other substrate having a parallel-plate heat transfer surface or media configuration. The substrate media can be either non-desiccant-coated “sensible” substrate, or “enthalpic” desiccant coated substrate. In exemplary embodiments, the spirally wound substrate media strips are arranged in a parallel plate manner using an embossed formation periodically to hold the strips in a parallel plate configuration. The strip layers are arranged so that every other layer is embossed and every other layer is without embossments. The embossed standoffs are not required to be aligned with one another periodically, and a parallel plate arrangement is achieved.
