  • Patent number: 11225041
Abstract: A separator system (1) and method for separating a mixture including said one or more liquids or semi-liquids and a loose, solid material substantially into liquid and solid phases. The system includes the components of: a compression separator (100) for separating the liquid from the solid material by compression; a vacuum supply (200) for generating suction to draw mixture into the separator via a feed line. The liquids are captured in a collection tank (301) and the solids in a hopper (320).

Date of Patent: January 18, 2022
    Assignees: SandyLakes Limited
Inventors: Bruce Keith Sands, Robert Mark Jeralds
  • Patent number: 10882758
Abstract: The invention provides a method of decontaminating a waste stream liquid of solid particulate and one or more other pollutants, the method comprising the steps of: (i) removing solid particulate contaminant from the waste stream liquid by passing the waste stream liquid through at least one solids trap into a waste stream liquid holding reservoir whereby solid particulate is retained in the at least one solids trap; and (ii) removing one or more other pollutants from the waste stream liquid in the reservoir by contacting the waste stream liquid with at least one contaminant trap whereby the contaminant trap sequesters the one or more other pollutants within the contaminant trap.

  • Patent number: 9796464
Abstract: A human driven water propulsion apparatus includes a propeller and a human powered drive coupled to the propeller for driving the propeller. The propeller and human powered drive are connected to and supported by a chassis. Foot pedals are slidably engaged with the helical drive shafts. The helical drive shafts are connected to the propeller through one-way clutches and a gear train such that the propeller is driven by the helical drive shafts when driven by the pedals. In a watercraft application, the chassis is rotatably mounted for rotation between a first position where the propeller is faced in a forward direction and a second position where the propeller is faced in a rearward direction. In a swimmer application, a seat is attached to the chassis by a seat post and straps secure the seat to a user.

  • Patent number: 9500557
Abstract: A pipe pressure testing apparatus for failure testing a section of an elongated pipe is provided. The apparatus includes a plurality of spherical bodies disposed within and filling the section of elongated pipe and leaving a void space within the section of elongated pipe. A first end cap is attached to and seals a first end of the elongated pipe. A second end cap is attached to and seals a second of the elongated pipe. And a test fluid line is in fluid communication with the void space to fill the void space with a testing fluid.

  • Patent number: 7988162
Abstract: A rolling dolly like apparatus comprising a longitudinal column of predetermined length, having a rotary mechanism at each end, whereby power is transferred to a move a supportive structure in a parallel direction with said column. At the lower end of said column, a small frame having multiple wheels is attached to the said column by means of a swiveling mechanism. The said supportive structure in configured as to receive the attachment of any type of handheld portable power posthole digger, so that the Auger Dolly and the said attached handheld power posthole digger function in concert with each other, thereby increasing the portability and maneuverability of any handheld power posthole digger, and also thereby eliminating the reverse torque and recoil being exerted on the operator, as well as eliminating the physical stress and danger associated with normal use of any handheld power posthole digger.

  • Publication number: 20010027419
Abstract: The methods and apparatus described herein facilitate the production of “built when ordered” and “direct to reader” books via the Internet or some other wide area network. In operation, book publishers supply electronic book content to printing facilities. In turn, the printing facilities receive book orders from order sources such as retail websites and/or retail stores. Once the book order is received, the book(s) are printed, bound, and packaged using material unique to the order source, and shipped directly to the reader who initiated the book order.
