Patent number: 10822824Abstract: A method of adding pH balancing solution to a body of water includes the steps of coupling a pH balancing solution system to a circulation system in communication with the body of water. The pH balancing solution system includes a pH balancing solution dispenser having an upper dispenser body portion, a lower dispenser body portion, an interior support portion with a dispensing grid and a piercing mechanism thereon, and a dispenser lid. The lid of the dispenser is opened and the pH of the balancing solution is inserted inside the upper body portion. The pH balancing solution container is situated on the piercing mechanism and the pH balancing solution container is pierced on the piercing mechanism to open the pH balancing solution container. The open pH balancing solution container is allowed to drain over the dispensing grid. A metered dose of pH solution is dispensed to the body of water through the pH balancing solution system.Type: GrantFiled: June 26, 2018Date of Patent: November 3, 2020Assignee: PENTAIR WATER POOL & SPA, INC.Inventors: Kevin Doyle, Bruce Johnson, Keith Schulte

Patent number: 10472263Abstract: Some embodiments provide a chemical balancing system for a pool that includes a salt chlorine generator system. The salt chlorine generator system produces chlorine through an electrolytic process at a salt chlorine generator cell in communication with a flow of water from the pool. A pH monitoring and balancing unit is coupled to the salt chlorine generator system. A power cord connects a power supply to the salt chlorine generator. A controller is in communication with both the salt chlorine generator system and the pH monitoring and balancing unit. The controller is configured to estimate a current pH value of the pool, determine how much pH balancing solution is required to re-balance the pool to a desired pH level, and dispense pH balancing solution until the pH level in the pool reaches the desired pH level.Type: GrantFiled: August 16, 2016Date of Patent: November 12, 2019Assignee: Pentair Water Pool and Spa, Inc.Inventors: Bruce Johnson, Kevin Doyle, Keith Schulte

Publication number: 20170017760Abstract: The present invention is in the field of Healthcare Claims Fraud Detection. Fraud is perpetrated across multiple healthcare payers. There are few labeled or “tagged” historical fraud examples needed to build “supervised”, traditional fraud models using multiple regression, logistic regression or neural networks. Current technology is to build “Unsupervised Fraud Outlier Detection Models”. Current techniques rely on parametric statistics that are based on assumptions such as outlier free and “normally distributed” data. Even some non-parametric statistics are adversely influenced by non-normality and the presence of outliers. Current technology cannot represent the combined variable values into one meaningful value that reflects the overall risk that this observation is an outlier. The single value, the “score”, must be capable of being measured on the same scale across different segments, such as geographies and specialty groups.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 21, 2016Publication date: January 19, 2017Applicant: Fortel Analytics LLCInventors: Rudolph J.
