Abstract: In accordance with certain embodiments of the present disclosure, a method is provided. The method includes receiving a loan application from an applicant, the loan application including information of the applicant and based at least on the received loan application, determining creditworthiness of the applicant. The method also includes providing the received information of the applicant to a prepaid card provider for instantaneous disbursement of loan proceeds via a virtual prepaid debit card to the applicant by the prepaid card provider based at least on the creditworthiness of the applicant.

Abstract: A method for bill payment is disclosed. In one embodiment, the method includes receiving information identifying an invoicing party, specifying an amount owed to the invoicing party; and an account identifier associated with a prepaid debit card, submitting the invoicing party identification, the amount owed to the invoicing party, and the account identifier to a service provider, and collecting a convenience fee.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides system and methods for providing real time alerts over a network. In one respect, transactional data including a card identifier is received by a transaction processor. At least one alert corresponding to the received transactional data may be determined and may be forwarded to a mobile unit associated with the card identifier. Alternatively or in addition, messages received by a card user may be received. At least one alert responsive to the received message may be determined and may be forwarded to a card user via a mobile unit.
