  • Patent number: 12115880
Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for adaptive prediction of electrified vehicle performance including receiving a set of goal parameters identifying a drivers performance requirements, receiving a set of fixed parameters related to course, vehicle and passenger status, receiving past energy consumption data for the electrified vehicle and the driver, generating an adaptive prediction of a future state of charge (SOC) of one or more electricity sources, and providing a dynamic control alteration based on the adaptive prediction, the dynamic control alteration as a function of the set of goal parameters. The adaptive prediction is based on the set of goal parameters, the set of fixed parameters and the past energy consumption data. The adaptive prediction includes updated parameters based on performance of the electrified vehicle.

  • Patent number: 12060130
Abstract: A device and communication software connect controls/features of a vehicle driven by handlebar control, for example, a motorcycle, with a universal handlebar-based control system. Embodiments also provide access to a mobile computing device and operate the mobile computing device through the handlebar-based control system. Aspects of the subject disclosure remove the need for a rider to take their hands off the handlebars and eyes off the road to manipulate a portable computing device or control on-board vehicle functions. The access to the controls/features of a vehicle provides the rider alerts to potential safety events which can be seen through the on-board display of the vehicle or a mobile computing device mounted to the vehicle and connected to the control system.

  • Publication number: 20160076477
Abstract: A dual-mode fuel injector has an internal part containing a variable volume chamber space which fills with fuel at common rail pressure and a plunger which is operable to force fuel out of the variable volume chamber space and to be injected out of the nozzle through the injection orifices at amplified pressure greater than common rail pressure. The plunger and the internal part have respective surfaces which come into mutual abutment during filling of the variable volume chamber space with fuel at common rail pressure and which, when in mutual abutment, create a seal which seals fuel in the variable volume chamber space against escape from the variable volume chamber space past the seal.

  • Publication number: 20150246800
Abstract: A safety tool is specifically adapted to aid in opening hinged rear doors of industrial containers safely, while also ensuring that the operator of the safety tool remain outside the potential zone of danger whenever the rear door has the potential to swing open. The present safety tool not only provides convenience and leverage for commonly performed door opening procedures, but also ensures that the operator's body and hands remain safely distanced from the direction of door travel and the potential discharge path of material contained within the cargo box. In addition, the present safety tool is lightweight and compact, allowing the tool to be easily stowed in or around a cargo box and/or truck to and thereby ensure that the safety tool is available whenever it may be needed to aid in opening and/or closing the cargo box door.

  • Patent number: 8949242
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for semantic document analysis. In one aspect, methods include the actions of segmenting a document into segments; generating semantic representations, each corresponding to one of the segments; determining a corresponding segment score for one or more of the segments based on the corresponding semantic representation, such that each segment score represents a change in the corresponding segment; comparing each segment score to a threshold score, such that the threshold score represents an expectation of change for the document; and identifying segments having segment scores that indicate the change in the corresponding segment deviates from the expectation of change for the document based on the comparison.

  • Patent number: 8868541
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for scheduling resource crawls. In one aspect, a framework is provided for scheduling resource crawls such that a crawl scheduler determines the health of a document, i.e., whether it can be crawled, the popularity of the document, and the frequency of “interesting,” i.e., substantive, content changes, and based on this information, estimates an appropriate crawl interval for each web resource to improve crawl resource utilization.
