Abstract: Described herein are an adapter kit for non-destructively adapting a cooler having a melt water drain hole into a cold tap, a cooler configured as a cold tap, and a method for non-destructively adapting a cooler having a melt water drain hole into a cold tap. In one example, the adapter kit allows the cooler to be configured as a cold tap, while being readily removable to allow the cooler to return to it's undamaged, original form.

Abstract: A line release clip that generates an electronic alert upon opening independent of the release tension adjustment is provided. In one embodiment, the line release clip includes a body, a line retainer coupled to the body, a release adjustment mechanism and a release alarm. The line retainer is rotatable between a closed position and an open position. The release adjustment mechanism is operable to control force required to move the line retainer from the closed position. The release alarm is operable to emit at least one of an audible sound or light in response to the line retainer moving from the closed position, thereby alerting fisherman of the release of the fishing line from the clip.

Abstract: An on-vessel weight system and method for operating the same is provided. The on-vessel weight system is configured for determining a weight of a fish on board a recreational fishing vessel, but also may be adapted to be used off the fishing vessel. In one embodiment, an on-vessel weight system includes marine electronic instrument and a load cell having a communication feature operable to provide a signal indicative of a weight measured by the load cell to the marine electronic instrument.

The information, which includes attributes associated with the event, may be recall for viewing and analysis. The information may also be exported from the data acquisition system to a remotely stored database.
