  • Patent number: 9990501
Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking telecom computing device vulnerabilities. The system includes a database storing a plurality of entries that describe security vulnerabilities, and a controller that receives input from a user selecting a class of telecommunication devices, e.g. a product line, and searches the database to identify pertinent entries describing a relevant security vulnerability for the class. The controller also identifies an authoritative entry that describes the relevant security vulnerability, validates pertinent entries within the database that conform with the authoritative entry, generates a report indicating a severity of the security vulnerability within the class based on valid entries within the database, and assesses a severity of the relevant security vulnerability for the class based on the conforming entries.

  • Publication number: 20080030581
Abstract: A method is disclosed herein for producing color Doppler images of a subject. The method comprises the steps of transmitting (401) first and second transmit beams into the subject, wherein said first and second transmit beams are characterized by first and second frequencies, and wherein each of said first and second transmit beams has first and second sets of receive beams associated therewith, respectively; receiving (403) the first and second sets of receive beams; and producing (405) a composite color Doppler image based on the first and second sets of receive beams.

  • Patent number: 6954884
Abstract: A system for effecting recovery of a network involving a plurality of computing apparatuses with each respective computing apparatus hosting at least one respective service, includes: (a) at least one control unit substantially embodied in hardware and coupled with each computing apparatus; and (b) at least one control program substantially embodied in software and distributed among at least one of the computing apparatuses. The system responds to a computing apparatus becoming inoperative by effecting a recovery operation. The recovery operation includes distributing the services hosted by the inoperative computing apparatus as distributed services among operating computing apparatuses and returning the distributed services to the inoperative computing apparatus after the inoperative computing apparatus becomes operative. The at least one control unit and the at least one control program cooperate to effect the recovery operation.

  • Patent number: 5623643
Abstract: A second set of telecommunication devices is arranged to substantially mirror a first set of telecommunication devices in order to provide redundancy. First and second computer modules are included, respectively, in the first and second sets of devices wherein each module is capable of providing operating system control of the system and both modules initially operating with the same operating system. Only one of the computer modules controls the system at a given time. One of the devices of each pair of devices in the first and second sets of devices is isolated from the corresponding other device. The isolated computer module is loaded with a new operating system and tested by allowing the new operating system to control the isolated devices. This permits testing of the new operating system while maintaining uninterrupted control which is provided by the other devices operating under the same operating system.

  • Patent number: 5456257
Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnostic system is provided which detects the presence of coated microbubble contrast agents in the body of a patient by transmitting ultrasonic energy which causes the destruction of the coated microbubbles and detects the microbubble destruction through phase insensitive detection and differentiation of echoes received from two consecutive ultrasonic transmissions. The destruction of a microbubble can also be used as a point source of acoustic energy for aberration correction, whereby the timing of the beamformer is adjusted from an analysis of beamformer signals resulting from a detected microbubble destruction event.

  • Patent number: 5383503
Abstract: Apparatus for guiding the movement of a hand held router relative to a workpiece comprises a support forming an upwardly facing base adapted to underlie and support a workpiece to be routed. A plurality of parallel guide posts extend upwardly from the support and carry a rigid frame having an open central portion. The frame is mounted on the guide posts for guided sliding movement toward and away from the base to overlie a workpiece supported on the base. Springs bias the frame away from the base and clamps act to overcome the bias and clamp the frame into engagement with the uppermost surface of a workpiece supported on the base. A router guide template is removably connected in the open central portion of the rigid frame at a location to substantially engage the uppermost surface of a workpiece support on the base when the frame is clamped into engagement therewith.
