  • Publication number: 20210327584
Abstract: A method for cluster-based recommendation generation regarding sleep disorders. A server system transmitting query program code to a client device, wherein the query program code is executable by the client device to transmit one or more response objects encoding a response and further responses to the server system. The server system receiving the one or more response objects from the client device and determining the response and further responses encoded in the response objects. A clustering module of the server system identifying one or more clusters of sleep disorder user data that most closely relate to the determined responses. A recommendation module of the server system identifying a sleep disorder based on the determined responses and clusters. • Patent number: 8016152
Abstract: An improved structural panel and connector sidewall construction is presented. While maintaining the benefits of standard structural panel designs, a two post connector construction achieves many benefits of traditional sidewall designs, including simplified replacement of damaged panels. The novel sidewall construction also achieves the important objective of providing smooth trailer walls without rivets and minimal recesses, protrusions and snag points. The easy panel replacement of the novel sidewall construction is achieved by utilizing interlocking posts as connectors. An interior post and an exterior post interlock to form a panel connector. Adhesive is also used to secure the posts together, and the strength of the adhesive bond is aided by the posts having a substantial area of contact with each other. The posts of the panel connectors may be designed to be easily separable by bonding the two posts together with a thermally degradable adhesive.

  • Patent number: 7789453
Abstract: A trailer fairing for reducing aerodynamic drag from trailer landing gear and/or wheel assembly is disclosed. The fairing may be directly connected to the forward facing structural supports of the landing gear, and an air tank may be located between the fairing and the cargo storage area. A single fairing may be used to reduce the drag from both the trailer landing gear and wheel assembly. The fairing may include a tapered front section and/or a rear section. The fairing may have rounded, oval, angled, and/or tapered sections. A plurality of fairings may also be used.

  • Patent number: 7699382
Abstract: An aerodynamic cargo container with rounded rear doors is disclosed. The aerodynamic cargo container includes an angled rear area that reduces base drag when the container is transported. The rear sliding door allows for partial opening of the door and allows for operation of the door when the rear of the container is in close proximity to another object. The crash attenuating skirt deflects vehicles away from the cargo container. A pair of cargo doors may define the curved contour of the trailer rear section. These doors may have a plurality of pivoted and segmented sections that assume the curved contour of a stationary edge when the doors are moved to a closed position.

  • Patent number: 6254371
Abstract: The mold press includes a drive arrangement for controlling press movement and closure force. The drive arrangement includes a pair of generally identical drive units connected between upper and lower press plates adjacent opposite longitudinal ends of the press. The drive units in a preferred embodiment each employ a ball-screw drive arrangement. The screw shaft extends vertically between the top and bottom press plates. The screw shaft engages a ball nut mounted on one press plate, typically the bottom press plate which is disposed for movement toward and away from the top press plate. A first high speed drive arrangement employing a first electric motor is coupled to the screw shafts for effecting high speed opening and closing of the bottom press plate.

  • Patent number: 6047779
Abstract: The present invention relates an impact tool with a twin lobed anvil, and the separate anvil, timing shaft and mating dog hammer. The impact transmission is configured in such a way so as to maintain contact between the anvil and dog hammer. As a result, the components of the present invention provide a harder blow to the anvil of an impact tool due to a larger strike surface area, provide greater torque due to increased mass at engagement, and increase the durability of the impact tool.

  • Patent number: 5924497
Abstract: A hand held compressed air power tool is provided with a handle that can axially rotate about an orthogonal axis perpendicular to the tool housing. Thus, the handle can rotate independently of the motor housing thereby allowing the handle to point in a different direction other than toward the point of impact. The tool utilizes a rotational coupling system that allows the handle to rotate while also allowing compressed air to be fed into, and exhausted out of, the tool via the base of the handle.

  • Patent number: 5704191
Abstract: An apparatus for folding a fibrous insulation batt having a length and a width is disclosed. The batt has first and second sections, where each section is approximately one half the length of the batt. The apparatus comprises a lower conveyor for conveying folded batts in a first direction, and an upper conveyor which is positioned above the lower conveyor and move in the first direction to define a folded batt exit path. The apparatus further comprises a folding member for folding the insulation batt, where the folding member is adapted to contact the batt across its width. The folding member is mounted for movement to initially push the batt in a second direction, and then subsequently push the batt in the first direction, thereby pushing the batt along the folded batt exit path. The movement of the folding member folds the batt so that the first section of the folded batt is generally parallel to and contacting the second section.

  • Patent number: 5673538
Abstract: A fibrous insulation batt having a length and a width and including a first and second section, where each section is approximately one half the length of the batt, is folded so that the first section is generally parallel to and contacting the second section. The batt has two folds across its width and located between the first and second sections. The two folds are spaced apart from each other a distance approximately equal to the thickness of the uncompressed insulation batt. The two sections of the batt remain generally parallel to and contact each other when the batt is laid horizontal and in an unrestrained condition.

  • Patent number: 4953344
Abstract: For applying a covering to glass fibre insulation batts, the batts are deposited in succession into a vertically elongate batt stacking space to form a stack of the batts, and upper and lower compression plates each having a concave compression surface the shape of which compression surfaces correspond at least substantially to the shapes of convex upper and lower surfaces of the package, are displaced vertically by an amount sufficient to compress the stack between the upper and lower compression surfaces with a compression ratio of 6:1 to 11:1. A covering of flexible sheet material is then provided around the compressed stack to maintain the stack in a compressed state. The concave compression surfaces make possible a higher compression of the batts than was possible with the flat compression plates used in the prior art, without damaging the batts and therefore while allowing satisfactory recovery of the batts when released from their compressed state.

  • Patent number: 4541854
Abstract: An apparatus for converting thermoplastic molten material stream into fibers to produce fibers, particularly to produce mineral wool from molten mineral raw material. The device combines a slinger cup wheel with a pair of fiberizing rotors. The rotors have each a concavely rounded peripheral groove. The cup wheel is virtually completely surrounded by the two grooves of the rotors so that there is no random spreading of the molten material as all of discrete, fine streams produced by the cup are attenuated by the rotors. As there is no sudden "bouncing" of the attenuated material, the invention produces an improved uniformity of the diameter of final fibres and substantially reduces the shot content in the final product. The stress to which the machinery is subjected is also limited.
