  • Patent number: 7478684
Abstract: A soil conditioning device having a series of peripheral ridge members having a leading and trailing prow shaped surface circumscribing a disc, wheel or drum and a method of use. Optionally the prow shaped peripheral ridge members are joined by sub-ridge members forming a single ridge of varying heights circumscribing the disc, wheel or drum.

  • Patent number: 7321098
Abstract: A circuit board assembly that makes use of a low-temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) substrate, and a process for producing the assembly. The substrate contains at least first and second regions formed by a plurality of first ceramic layers and at least one second ceramic layer, respectively, that are superimposed and bonded to each other. Conductor lines are present on at least some of the first ceramic layers so as to be between adjacent pairs of the layers. Electrically-conductive vias electrically interconnect the conductor lines on different first ceramic layers, and a surface-mount IC device is mounted to the substrate. The first ceramic layers are formed of electrically-nonconductive materials, while the one or more second ceramic layers contain thermally-conductive particles dispersed in a matrix of electrically-non-conductive materials, such that the one or more second ceramic layers are more thermally conductive than the first ceramic layers.

  • Patent number: 7114546
Abstract: A tire mold according to the invention includes a plurality of tread sectors for forming a tread portion of a tire and two shell inserts for molding the sidewalls of a tire wherein the tread sectors and the shell inserts are castings formed from the same model. A method for manufacturing a mold in accordance with the invention includes the steps of providing a casting model having the tread and sidewall features of a tire, the casting model having parting zones between the tread and sidewall, casting an element from the model, the cast element accordingly having parting zones between the tread and sidewall portions, and separating the cast element into a plurality of tread sectors and opposing sidewall shells.

  • Publication number: 20060218510
Abstract: Methods, systems, and machine-readable mediums are disclosed for managing data centers. In one embodiment, a method is disclosed which comprises receiving, at an interface for a data center management system, a grid location input for a first asset, the grid location input having a grid location value corresponding to a grid location in a data center managed by the data center management system. A first vertical position input for the first asset is also received at the interface, the first vertical position input having a first vertical position value indicating a vertical position. The method further comprises mapping the first asset to the grid location value and mapping the first asset to the first vertical position value.

  • Patent number: 4733776
Abstract: A protective device for a remote control unit includes a resilient, deformable foam panel provided with an arcuate curvature about a central axis, in channel-like fashion. A flexible, transparent elastic member is adapted to extend across the channel opening, with a remote control device disposed within the channel opening. Hook or loop fastener patches are secured to opposed edges of the transparent member and are engageable with like loop or hook fastener patches secured to the outer peripheral surface of the foam panel, so that the transparent member applies tension to the opposed sides of the channel opening and frictionally retains the remote control unit therein. The elasticity of the transparent member permits operation of the pushbuttons of the remote unit, while the foam material cushions the unit and prevents damage from casual impact or falling. Further hook and loop patches may be joined to the outer surface to secure the remote control unit to a table surface or a remote, childproof location.
