  • Patent number: 7506852
Abstract: A shelving bracket for supporting an end of a shelf is adapted to be attachable at any location along the length of a heightwise extending pole. The bracket is adapted to bear against a side face of a pole and includes at least two guide surfaces engageable with front and rear faces of the pole to define the angle of orientation of the bracket and to maintain the bracket at that angle. The bracket is secured rigidly to the pole by a fastener. A second pole is provided with a similar shelf bracket. Each of the shelf brackets has a shelf-supporting ledge adapted to support an end of a shelf that spans between the poles.

  • Patent number: 5531168
Abstract: An adjustable shelf unit includes a pair of parallel, vertical stanchions each defining a vertical channel. A pair of adjustable braces each has horizontal support surfaces and a proximal end slidably retained in a respective front channel. A locking means is coupled to the proximal end of the braces for releasably securing the braces at a freely selectable elevation in the front channels. A planar element, such as a shelf, is disposed above the braces slidably coupled to the stanchions such that the horizontal surfaces of the braces support the first planar element for load bearing. The horizontal surfaces of the braces remain horizontally disposed as the braces are moved to a freely selectable elevation in the front channels.

  • Patent number: 4791873
Abstract: A multi-purpose retractable desk or table top is provided for use in conjunction with a shelving or wall system. The system includes vertical standards having channels which typically are receptive to shelf brackets. The retractable desk top is attached to the standards by a linkage and mechanism which enables the top to be infinitely oriented at any angle from horizontal to vertical. In its vertical, retracted configuration, the desk top lies substantially flat against the standards and the linkage is substantially concealed within the standards. The attachment linkage and mechanism is constructed to enable the height of the entire device to be adjusted.

  • Patent number: 4608046
Abstract: A urinary aid for use by females includes a flat-folded tube having an end insertable between the labia. The tube is expandable by light hand squeezing to open the inserted end of the tube to a urine-receptive configuration which spread the labia and in which the device may be pressed against the uninary meatus. In one non-reuseable embodiment of the invention, the tube is provided with a thin coating which is temporarily water resistant but which is degradable. In another embodiment of the invention, the device is reuseable. In all embodiments, the device may be considered as disposable because of its low cost of manufacture. The device may be manufactured using simple and economical manufacturing procedures.

  • Patent number: 4139101
Abstract: A standard and a boom extending from the standard are connected by a mechanism to permit the boom to be pivoted between an upright, locked position and a lowered, collapsed position. A connecting device is employed to attach the boom mechanism to the standard which permits heightwise adjustment of the boom on the standard. The connecting mechanism includes a member having an L-shaped slot which receives a pair of pins extending from the boom. The length of one of the legs of the L-shaped slot is at least equal to the spacing between the pins and the other leg of the slot is longer than the spacing between the pins to lock the device in position when the pins are disposed in the other leg of the slot. The invention is disclosed as being used with a space divider such as a curtain which can be hung from the boom.
