    Abstract: A transfer apparatus transfers tablets ejected from a tableting machine to a container. The transfer apparatus includes a first chute, a cloth chute which serves as a buffer disposed at one end of the first chute, a winding apparatus for lifting the free end of the cloth chute, a bucket for receiving the tablets from the cloth chute, and a swiveling lift for moving the bucket. Because the formed pieces are not transported directly from the first chute to the bucket, but are first received within the buffer and then transported to the container, occurrence of cracking or chipping of the formed pieces can be prevented and high quality can also be maintained through minimizing the impact on the formed pieces which would otherwise occur during transporting.

During the first operation, the controller requests a user entry of a password and links the password to the facsimile image information upon receiving a password.     Abstract: An interfacing apparatus, connecting between a host system and a data processing device and including a parallel interface function for transmitting signals, includes an energy saving mode controller and an interface circuit controller. The energy saving mode controller selectively switches the apparatus into an energy saving mode from an idling mode. In the energy saving mode, the energy saving mode controller cuts off power for driving an interface circuit, except for a minimal power required to be supplied to at least one predefined portion of the interface circuit. The interface circuit controller notifies the host system of statuses of the interface apparatus using at least one status signal line. After having entered the energy saving mode, the interface circuit controller maintains the at least one logic level signal line at a status which is reversed from a usual logic level thereof in the idling mode.

    Abstract: A facsimile device in which plural sets of recording medium can be provided. While images are recorded on one set of recording medium, the first set is changed over to another set of recording medium by a change-over signal transmitted from a control section of the facsimile device, after finishing recording the images being received on the first set. Thereafter, the images can be recorded on the other set. An image memory is provided for storing image data transmitted during the time period for changing over the recording medium. The image data received are accumulated in the image memory during the change-over and when finished, the accumulated image data are read out in order from the image memory and recorded on the other set of recording medium.

    Abstract: A terminal for an optical transmission cable, e.g., formed of a central optical fiber surrounded by a heat-deformable plastic coating, comprises a metallic body portion with an axial bore having a relatively small, fiber receiving aperture, an expanding tapered portion, and a cylindrical portion. A heat insulative sleeve is disposed about the bore end at the optical cable receiving face of the terminal.To affix the terminal to a cable end, the terminal body is heated, and the cable axially urged through the bore. The heated terminal body deforms the cable coating, locking the cable into place with the fiber projecting through the relatively small bore aperture, when the assembly cools. The insulative sleeve prevents cable deformation and attendant spurious optical misalignment about the end of the terminal by there separating the cable coating and the heated terminal body.
