Abstract: A package stock management method and device for an operator to register (provisioning-setting) a new service in a service offering device, wherein upon reception of a provisioning setting request of a service to a desired service offering device, a package having a necessary function for offering the service is retrieved from stock information set in a first database; proper information of the retrieved package as provisioning information is set in a second database; and, at the time when the retrieved package is forwarded and mounted on the service offering device, the provisioning information is set in the mounted package.

Abstract: A supervisory and control support equipment characterized in performing a supervision and control of a plurality of facilities, writing information generated during the procedure of the processing, achieving the supervision and control and respectively corresponding to the facilities, to a secondary storage through a cache memory and saving the information held in the cache memory in an external storage when a predetermined event is recognized during the procedure of the processing. In the supervision and control system applying the above supervisory and control support equipment, it is possible to achieve continuation or resume of operations with high certainty and efficiency without changing a configuration of hardware.

Abstract: In a buffer management system for managing a buffer pool, which is divided into a plurality of buffer areas, in response to an acquisition request sent from a processing apparatus, the buffer management system according to the present invention includes: a buffer managing unit for calculating and supervising the number of remaining vacant buffer areas before and after use of the buffer area; a buffer supervising unit operatively connected to the buffer managing unit for supervising a vacant state of each buffer area; and a holding unit operatively connected to the buffer managing unit for holding the number of remaining vacant buffer areas.

Abstract: A buffer is acquired from a buffer storage area when the system is started up. The buffer allocated to a program requiring a use of a buffer is monitored so that a reallocation is performed when the buffer count becomes smaller than a predetermined threshold value.
