  • Patent number: 9234584
Abstract: An automatic transmission has an automatic shift mode and a manual shift mode. When an opposite manual operation is performed, during an automatic shift based on a shift map in the automatic shift mode, in an opposite direction opposite to the automatic shift or when the opposite manual operation is performed, during a forced shift performed regardless of the manual operation in the manual shift mode, in the opposite direction opposite to the forced shift, a control apparatus forbids a shift based on a first manual operation and permits a shift based on a second or subsequent manual operation in the opposite direction opposite to the automatic shift or the forced shift.

  • Patent number: 7614977
Abstract: A vehicle power train control apparatus is provided that basically comprises an output characteristics changing section, an operation mode determining section and a control section. The output characteristics changing section changes engine output characteristics of a vehicle with respect to an operation of an accelerator pedal. The operation mode determining section determines an operation mode of the vehicle among a plurality of operation modes including at least a reacceleration response mode based on driving information of the vehicle. The control section controls the output characteristics changing section to change the engine output characteristics under a reduced accelerator position state during the reacceleration response mode to increase a driving force upon reacceleration of the vehicle when an accelerator position is increased after the vehicle was decelerated.

  • Patent number: 5251690
Abstract: An apparatus for collecting cleaning bodies in a tubular heat exchanger capable of collecting the cleaning bodies with a high collection efficiency against the temporary introduction of a large amount foreign matter such as falling tools in a cooling water system and against the deflected flow of the cooling water from the upstream side. A rectifying member rectifies or regulates the deflected flow of the cooling water from the upstream side whereby it is possible to collect the cleaning bodies without any adhesion and stagnation of the cleaning bodies in the cooling water on V-shaped collection lattices. It is also possible to trap a large article such as a falling tool between a guide member disposed downstream of the collection lattices and the collection lattices, and to introduce only the cleaning bodies into the guide member. Furthermore, the downstream port of a cleaning body discharge pipe opens toward the downstream side to thereby prevent the clogging of the port with the foreign matter or the like.

  • Patent number: 4592419
Abstract: A condenser for a steam turbine expels the oxygen-containing gas residing in the condensate passage in the hot well thereof by a scavenging steam. The oxygen-containing gas is expelled by the scavenging gas, which is introduced into the atmosphere in the condensate passage and arranged to flow counter to the condensate flow. The scavenging means includes a steam pipe attached in a vicinity of an outlet of the condensate passage in the hot well, and a valve device provided in the intermediate portion of the steam pipe.
