  • Patent number: 7942698
Abstract: A connector capable of maintaining contact reliability even with reduced arrangement pitch of contacts. First and second contacts are alternately arranged on a housing along contact arrangement direction orthogonal to direction of fitting the housing to a receptacle connector. A first contact portion, first bending portion, and first connecting portion connected to a coaxial cable, of each first contact are disposed on an upper surface, front portion and rear portion of the arranging portion, respectively. A linkage portion connecting the first bending and connecting portions, and a second contact portion continuous with a second connecting portion of each second contact are disposed on a lower surface of the arranging portion. A second bending portion disposed on the front portion is continuous with the second contact portion. The linkage portion is smaller in width in the arrangement direction than the first and second contact portions.

  • Patent number: 7722387
Abstract: A board connector has a plurality of contacts, an insulator holding the plurality of contacts, and a shell covering at least a part of the insulator. Each contact has an SMT terminal to be connected to a wiring pattern on a board. The insulator has a first insulator portion extending in an X-direction and two second insulator portions each extending in a Y-direction perpendicular to the X-direction. The first insulator portion has a bottom surface and first ends in the X-direction. Each second insulator portion has second ends. Each second insulator portion extends from the first ends to the second ends, respectively. The second ends are positioned on an imaginary straight line. The first insulator portion, the second insulator portions, and the imaginary straight line define a predetermined area. The SMT terminals are held by the insulator so that the SMT terminals are positioned within the predetermined area.

  • Patent number: 7021958
Abstract: In a connector to be connected to a cable by an insulation displacement connection, a first housing has a holding portion for receiving the cable. A second housing holds a contact and coupled to the first housing with its rotation with respect to the first housing. The contact is adapted to be contact with a mating connector and has a pair of insulation displacement portions faced to each other with a gap and adapted to be connected to the cable by the insulation displacement connection. The holding portion is inserted into the gap following the rotation of the second housing so that the cable is clamped between each of the insulation displacement portions and the holding portion.
