  • Patent number: 4837662
Abstract: A gas insulated switchgear in which the fastening portion at the lead-in terminals connecting the first cable head vessel and the second cable head vessel is at a level lower than the level of the fastening portion at the lead-in terminals connecting the interrupter vessel and the first cable head vessel. The conductors extend from the interrupter in the interrupter vessel to the first cable heads through the lead-in terminals at one side of the first cable head vessel, and from the first cable heads to the second cable heads through the opposite side of the first cable head vessel. Therefore, the height dimension of the second cable head vessel can be decreased to provide a gas insulated switchgear which is economically superior and efficiently utilizes the total space.

  • Patent number: 4821140
Abstract: A gas insulated switchgear comprises main circuit disconnector units for three phases contained within a single vessel and a shunt circuit disconnector unit also contained within the vessel and provided in the vicinity of a side portion of the main circuit disconnector units. Each of the main circuit disconnector units and the shunt circuit disconnector unit comprises a stationary side electrode and a movable side electrode. Axes passing through the electrodes are arranged substantially parallel to each other. One of the movable side electrode and the stationary side electrode of the shunt circuit disconnector unit is electrically connected to one of the movable side electrode and the stationary side electrode of one of the main circuit disconnector units, whereby electrical paths can be lead out of the vessel through the shunt circuit disconnector unit.

  • Patent number: 4821141
Abstract: A gas insulated switchgear includes an interrupter connected to at least one bus bar through a disconnector and a monitor panel and having an operating mechanism disposed at eye level (with respect to ground). The operators of respective grounded switches, which are operable to disable the switchgear to allow inspections of the bus bar disconnector and the interrupter are arranged and positioned in the vicinity, and at the same face, of the operating mechanism of the interrupter, whereby the disconnector and the grounded switches can be operated and inspected at eye level.

  • Patent number: 4779197
Abstract: A three-phase-enclosure type gas insulated switchgear in which high-voltage conductors in a metallic vessel are disposed in parallel to each other to pass through apexes of a substantially right angled equilateral triangle, and in which each of the high-voltage conductors is supported by a single pedestal type support insulator. The single pedestal type support insulator is mounted to the metallic vessel at an angle with respect to lines passing through the center of the metallic vessel and the center of each of the high-voltage conductors.

  • Patent number: 4687890
Abstract: A bus bar connecting arrangement for a gas insulated switchgear designed to reduce the overall size thereof and the number of component parts, thereby decreasing the required installation space and trimming the production costs.

  • Patent number: 4408108
Abstract: A puffer type gas interrupter has an extra movable conducting cylinder mounted concentrically around and in fixed electrical contact with the puffer cylinder which functions to blow out the arcs produced at the moment of interruption. This conducting cylinder forms an electrical connection between stationary side finger contacts and movable side finger contacts at times of normal operation when the interrupter is in the closed state, and since, unlike the puffer cylinder, its dimensions are not constricted by the need to consider the arc blowing performance, its thickness and diameter may easily be appropriately selected to provide a current carrying area suitable for the carrying of a large main circuit current.
