    Abstract: The present invention to provides for a novel asphalt mixing plant which is portable, that is, capable of being transported from one site to another. The portable asphalt mixing plant has a control system that adjusts the rate at which crumb rubber is added to oil so as to maintain a constant oil/rubber ratio in a mixer. The blending control process has a CPU to control the rate at which asphalt is pumped into a mixer and the rate at which crumb rubber is fed to the same mixer so as to maintain a constant asphalt rubber ratio in the produced asphalt.
