  • Publication number: 20230290468
Abstract: A compute device may include circuitry configured to obtain patient state data that may be indicative of a heart rate of the patient or a respiration rate of the patient. The circuitry may also be configured to obtain patient medication data indicative of a schedule for administration of pain medication to the patient. Further, the circuitry may be configured to determine whether a trend in the patient state data satisfies a predefined condition, determine whether the patient medication data indicates that the patient is due for administration of pain medication within a predefined time period, determine, in response to a determination that the trend in the patient state data satisfies the predefined condition and a determination that the patient is due for administration of pain medication within the predefined time period, that the patient is experiencing pain, and produce an alert signal that the patient is in pain.

  • Publication number: 20220367043
Abstract: An example method includes outputting, by an output device, a first Graphical User Interface (GUI) associated with a patient. A font size of the first GUI is adjusted based on a position of the patient. Based on determining that a position of a care provider is within the threshold distance of the output device or within the room associated with the patient, outputting, by the output device, the second GUI being different than the first GUI.

  • Publication number: 20220293259
Abstract: Technologies for performing dynamic alert management to reduce caregiver fatigue may include a compute device. The compute device may include circuitry configured to receive alert data from a patient monitor device, to be provided to one or more caregivers in an alert. The circuitry may additionally be configured to determine whether alert suppression criteria indicative of one or more factors associated with alert-related fatigue is satisfied based on the received alert data. Additionally, the circuitry may be configured to suppress, in response to a determination that the alert suppression criteria is satisfied, the alert.

  • Publication number: 20220208318
Abstract: A mobility management system receives movement data from sensors that detect movements of a patient resting in a patient support apparatus and movement data from one or more mobility detection devices that detect movement of the patient when the patient exits the patient support apparatus. The system determines a mobility status based on at least the movement data received from the patient support apparatus and the one or more mobility detection devices, and adjusts a care protocol for the patient based on the mobility status.

  • Patent number: 10290071
Abstract: A care system includes a mobile communication device, a remote server, and a patient support system in communication with either or both of the mobile communication device and the remote server. The mobile communication device operates as a user interface for the patient support system. The remote server provides computing power for the patient support system for resource intensive computing tasks. A system for use in a healthcare facility includes patient care devices located in a patient room. The system also includes an application server located remotely from the patient room. The application server stores application software associated with each patient care device. The system further includes a universal caregiver interface situated in the patient room and in communication with the application server. The universal caregiver interface receives application software from the application server.

  • Publication number: 20140020175
Abstract: A monitoring system comprises a lift assembly configured to lift a patient; a control system configured to control operation of the lift system; and a reporting system in communication with the control system and configured to receive operational information for the lift assembly. The reporting system compares the operational information to a predetermined set of values to determine if the operation of the lift is in compliance with the protocols.
