Publication number: 20220122061Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing tokens from token providers and facilitating network transactions involving the tokens. One example computer-implemented method includes receiving, by a payment network, an external token for a payment account from an external token provider and storing the external token in a vault data structure. The external token provider is separate from the payment network. The method then includes intercepting, by the payment network, an authorization request message for a transaction involving the payment account. And, when the authorization request message includes the external token, the method includes identifying a primary account number (PAN) for the payment account based on a mapping of the external token with the PAN in the vault data structure and initiating at least one PAN-dependent service associated with the payment account, despite the external token being generated by the token provider that is separate from the payment network.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2021Publication date: April 21, 2022Inventors: Aimee G. Musil, Carole Lynne Kelly-Frank, Scott J. Page, John Vignola

Patent number: 11232435Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing tokens from different token providers and facilitating network transactions involving tokens from the different token providers. One exemplary method includes receiving a request to provision a token for a payment account to a party, where the payment account is associated with a payment network. The method also includes generating the requested token apart from the payment network, whereby the requested token is an external token, and transmitting the external token to the party. The method further includes transmitting, to the payment network, the external token and a PAN for the payment account associated with the external token, thereby permitting the payment network to map the token to the PAN and to provide PAN-dependent services for a transaction based on an authorization request message including the token but not the PAN.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2017Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: MASTERCARD INTERNATIONAL INCORPORATEDInventors: Aimee G. Musil, Carole Lynne Kelly-Frank, Scott J. Page, John Vignola

Publication number: 20190197548Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing network transactions based on use of tokens in the transactions. An exemplary system includes a network having a memory and a processor coupled to the memory, where the memory includes a token vault data structure having a listing of tokens stored therein in association with corresponding account numbers. In connection therewith, the processor is configured to receive a network request message from a routing network different than the network, where the network request message includes a token associated with an account involved in a transaction but not an actual account number used in the transaction. In response to the network request message, the processor is configured to convert the token to an account number associated with the account, based on the listing of tokens in the token vault data structure, and transmit the account number to the routing network.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2017Publication date: June 27, 2019Inventors: Carole Lynne Kelly-Frank, Aimee G. Musil

Publication number: 20070150352Abstract: A method for coordinating transaction data for targeted offer generation includes facilitating opt-in to a cardholder offer generation scheme, and facilitating obtaining transaction data associated with a card transaction, via a payment card processing network. The transaction data includes (i) attribute data indicative of an attribute of at least one item purchased, and (ii) an account number of the card. Storage of at least the attribute data in a data warehouse is facilitated, in association with indicia of the holder. The steps can be repeated for a plurality of transactions at a plurality of sales entities, to generate a cross-transaction, cross-entity, actual-product-purchased-based data warehouse profile of the holder. Generating a non-real-time offer to the holder by an operator of the payment card network is facilitated, based, at least in part, on data mining performed on the data warehouse profile.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2006Publication date: June 28, 2007Applicant: MasterCard International IncorporatedInventors: Carole Kelly-Frank, Sara Fiebiger, Anant Nambiar, Julie Wang

Patent number: 6421838Abstract: An integral elastic strap for head wear. The elastic strap is attached to the rear of the head wear. The integral strap is positioned at the rear of the head wear such that when the hair is pulled back, the elastic strap is stretched and twisted around the hair to secure the hair in the form of a pony tail. The head wear can be one of a variety of head wear, such as a conventional hat, a baseball cap, etc. When used in conjunction with head wear that is adjustable in size, such as a baseball cap, the elastic strap also holds the edge of the cap snugly against the wearer's head when the wearer's hair is not being secured, thereby eliminating the need for a conventional securing strap.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 2001Date of Patent: July 23, 2002Inventor: Kelly Frank
