  • Publication number: 20210093243
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods for draining and analyzing bodily fluids and assessing health are described and generally comprise a drainage tube in fluid communication with at least one opening near or at a distal end of a catheter, a pump in fluid communication with the drainage tube and configured to apply a negative pressure to the drainage tube, and a valve configured for unidirectional flow and in fluid communication with the drainage tube. A controller is configured to actuate the pump to apply the negative pressure for clearing an airlock and to monitor a urine output from the patient over a first predetermined period of time above a urine output threshold and over a second predetermined period of time below the urine output threshold. The controller may determine a risk of acute kidney injury if the urine output below the urine output threshold exceeds the second predetermined period of time.

  • Patent number: 6637976
Abstract: A below-grade, modular cast concrete containment vault which contains one or more primary liquid storage tanks. Dispensing pumps and sundry conduits and support equipment are attached to or supported within a cast concrete base cover or a conduit and equipment chase and chase covers. The base cover or chase is supported on the vault base. The pumps can be coupled to a remote control and communications kiosk. A manhole permits access to a ventilated secondary containment and inspection space within a vault base. A remote fill base and a sealed conduit contain liquid and vent piping and couple to the chase. Spill and overflow containment assemblies surround fill and vent pipes in the vault base cover, chase cover and remote base and direct spillage to the secondary storage space. Tertiary and auxiliary containment is also provided for containing leakage and spillage and backup storage for the overflow containment assemblies.

Abstract: A below-grade, modular cast concrete containment vault which contains one or more primary liquid storage tanks. Dispensing pumps and sundry conduits and support equipment are attached to or supported within a cast cover. The cover is secured to the tanks. The pumps can be coupled to a remote control and communications kiosk. A manhole permits access to a ventilated secondary containment and inspection space within a base unit. • Patent number: 6196761
Abstract: A double-walled, below-grade, modular, liquid containment vault that contains one or more primary storage tanks. Dispensing pumps and sundry conduits and support equipment are attached to or supported to a cover or top wall of the vault. The outer shell or base and primary tanks of the vaults can be constructed from concrete, steel, fiberglass or other composites. In concrete and steel vaults, the cover is secured to the primary tanks. The cover can also be bound to the walls of the outer shell. The pumps can be coupled to a remote control and communications kiosk. A manhole turret provides access to a ventilated secondary containment and inspection space within a base unit. Spill and overflow containment turret assemblies surround fill and vent pipes in the cover and direct spillage to the secondary storage space. Tertiary and auxiliary containment is also provided for spillage from the dispensing pumps and backup storage for the overflow containment assemblies.

  • Patent number: 5769109
Abstract: An overflow containment system for metal or fiberglass liquid storage tanks mounted within a liquid impermeable, secondary storage space. An open-topped, reinforced cast concrete base includes an internal thermal liner, liquid impermeable membrane, vault seal, tank cradles and support legs which define secondary and tertiary containment spaces. Sloped interior walls direct liquid and/or condensation to a sump region and a siphon assembly. A vault cover is bonded to the tank and supports a number of projecting fill, vent, extraction, inspection, and monitor/siphon standpipes. Chamfered and flanged edges at the cover and lift hooks facilitate cover removal, alignment, and tank inspection. A spill containment collar is mounted about the fill pipe and a drain pipe directs spillage to the secondary storage space of the base.
