  • Patent number: 10596280
Abstract: Disinfecting floor mats may be achieved by a variety of systems, processes, and techniques. In one general implementation, a disinfecting floor mat may include a UV LED array, a base, and a transparent cover. The UV LED array may have a top surface, a bottom surface, a perimeter and include multiple UV-emitting LEDs. The base may be configured to receive the UV LED array. The transparent protective cover may include a top surface of an encapsulating sheet for encapsulating the array or a top surface of a non-encapsulated protective sheet, the cover comprised of polyurethane and having substantial strength to withstand a person standing directly thereon with shoes on. The LED array is adapted to irradiate at least a portion of a bottom surface of a shoe positioned on the protective cover.

  • Publication number: 20190134652
Abstract: Applicant discloses a two part polymer mix for use in the aircraft industry that is applied with pneumatic mix and spray gun. The two part cartridge is used in the mix and spray gun so the mix is applied immediately upon mixing, but the two components are kept separated unless the gun is applying the mix. The mix cures to form a clear sealant that allows for inspection of cracks and corrosion beneath the sealant. It cures quickly so that the coated part may be further processed, for example in the assembly line during aircraft build. Applicant further discloses multiple spray gun systems for applying such a two-part polymer mix to aircraft parts.

  • Publication number: 20190002730
Abstract: A number of sealants are provided that are resistant to degradation by aircraft fluids. In some embodiments, the sealants are resistant to degradation by Jet A fluid and at least one of the three types of hydraulic fluids typically used in aircraft. These embodiments are also typically cure in place from a two part polyurethane or polyurea mix, with cure to a visibly clear coating. In some embodiments, they may be sprayed on an aircraft surface or applied by hand (brush or injectable). In other of these embodiments, the sealants comprise, at least in part, a cured, soft, tacky polyurethane gel that is resistant to at least one of a synthetic hydrocarbon based or mineral oil based hydraulic fluid.
