  • Patent number: 8439204
Abstract: A drop-in oil filter having top and bottom caps having annular recesses on facingly disposed surfaces adjacent their outer periphery, a pleated, woven metal cylindrical filter element having an outer and an inner diameter, a first cylindrical wire cage over the outer diameter of the filter element, a second cylindrical wire cage within the inner diameter of the filter element, ends of the filter element and the first and second cylindrical wire cages being fastened into the annular recesses in the top and bottom caps, the bottom cap having a first opening there through concentric with and within inner diameters of the filter element and the first and second cylindrical wire cages, and a first elastic grommet within the first opening having a central opening for sealing on a tube within a drop-in filter housing.

  • Patent number: 7597202
Abstract: A reusable remote filter having a can-like body, a tubular woven metal mesh filter element fitting concentrically within the can-like body, and a cap having the first and second threaded openings therein, the cap being threadedly assembleable to the can-like body, the first threaded opening being in fluid communication with a first port at a right angle thereto, the first port flaring outwardly to be substantially of the same diameter as the inner diameter of the tubular woven metal mesh filter element when the reusable remote filter is assembled, the second threaded opening being in fluid communication with the periphery of the tubular woven metal mesh filter element around substantially the entire periphery of the tubular woven metal mesh filter element.

  • Patent number: 7413089
Abstract: A replacement filter for conventional throw-away spin-on oil filter cartridge on an internal combustion engine. The replacement filter uses a porous metallic filter element, preferably a woven stainless steel, pleated filter element, within a housing physically simulating the conventional throw-away spin-on oil filter cartridge. The housing is disassembleable, typically by unscrewing the top cap of the housing, for removal, cleaning and reuse of the filter element. This avoids the problems of cost and availability of replacement filters and of disposal of used filters. Various embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4854412
Abstract: A fork stabilizer for the front-end fork of a motorcycle is provided. The fork stabilizer includes an elongate member, comprised of unitary metallic material having a substantially solid cross-sectional area, the elongate member also having transverse curved areas disposed at each end of the elongate member, said curved areas being closely machined to make a net fit between the prongs of the front-end fork of the motorcycle, having bolt holes disposed at each corner thereof, said bolt holes having an expanded region adapted to receive the heads of said bolts and also having a restricted region adapted to retain the elongate portion of said bolts whereby the twisting forces are substantially reduced, thereby assuring smooth and continuous operation and steering of said front-end fork.
