Abstract: A computer system and method is disclosed that aids in developing and implementing on-line marketing techniques. Several client workstations and servers are coupled together over a network. A client computer contains a browser user interface to allow an administrator to set up a new business web site account. The new extension web site is immediately accessible to the business at a specified URL. The business can use a client computer browser user interface to create and/or update the site content. A database server stores information related to the business web sites and/or the portal. A web server provides access to the business web sites and portal to client computers. Consumers can access content on one or more business web sites on web server from a client computer either directly or through a portal. The business can advertise the new web site along with their primary web site, if applicable.
