Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that are used to navigate unmanned aircraft, and to facilitate the execution of collision avoidance maneuvers with such unmanned aircraft. The systems are embodied in the unmanned aircraft and a ground control station that is configured to communicate with and control the unmanned aircraft. The unmanned aircraft includes multiple types of sensors, to detect and monitor the location of potential airspace obstructions. In addition, the unmanned aircraft and ground control station include voice communication systems, which enable ground control operators to communicate with oncoming third party aircraft through the unmanned aircraft.
