  • Publication number: 20200115609
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to enzyme formulations and methods of using the enzyme formulations to reduce the viscosity of fluids used in hydrocarbon recovery. Some embodiments provide particles for well treatment, where the particles comprise an acidifier carrier and an enzyme co-encapsulated within a shell. The particles can, for example, allow a delayed or controlled release of the enzyme in a high temperature, high pressure environment.

  • Patent number: 9242068
Abstract: An infusion catheter includes a catheter body having a proximal end, a distal end, and two or more lumens extending therethrough. The infusion catheter also includes an infusion tube having a proximal end, a distal end, and one or more ports disposed therethrough. The first lumen of the catheter body is in fluid communication with the lumen of the infusion tube. A central member has a distal end connected to the distal end of the infusion tube, a proximal end, and a proximal portion slidably received in the second lumen of the catheter body. The infusion tube is disposed relative to the central member such that axial advancement of the central member relative to the catheter body radially collapses the infusion tube over the central member and axial retraction of the central member relative to the catheter body radially expands the infusion tube about the central member.

  • Patent number: 8986241
Abstract: Clot disruption and dissolution are achieved using a catheter having the ability to infuse a thrombolytic agent, aspirate clot and fluid, and allow passage of a guidewire. Optionally, the catheter may also include a mechanical agitator for further disrupt clot in the presence of the thrombolytic agent. A flow resistor in the catheter provides for infusion and/or aspiration to be concentrated primarily at a clot treatment area in a blood vessel while also providing optional infusion and/or aspiration distal to the treatment area. In some embodiments, infusion, aspiration and guidewire passage occur through a common lumen. The thrombolytic agent, such as tPA, streptokinase, or urokinase, is directly released into the clot at the point where the agitator is engaging the clot. In this way, the thrombolytic activity of the agent is enhanced and the dissolution of the clot is improved.
