  • Publication number: 20150008643
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adjustment mechanism for game boards that allows a user to correct for warp to the playing surface due to changes in climatic conditions. The adjustment mechanism includes at least two adjusting members mounted in a transversely spaced arrangement to the underside of a game board and connecting member engaging the adjusting members through threaded connections. Through rotation, the connecting member exerts a force to drive the adjusting members away from or toward one another thereby impacting the degree of concavity imparted to the playing surface. Rotating the connecting member in one direction increases the concavity of the playing surface and rotating the connecting member in the opposite direction reduces the concavity of the playing surface. The connecting member includes a polygonal portion for engagement with a tool allowing the user to adjust the concavity of the playing surface in a single motion.

  • Patent number: 8439359
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a two-piece shuffleboard playfield having two rectangular planar members forming the overall playfield, two bracket members and adjustment members. The two elongated planar playfield members are attached to each other with the bracket members. Each bracket member is mounted to the lower surface of one of the elongated planar members at the point of joinder of the two elongated playfield members. When the playfield members are placed in abutting relationship to each other, the bracket members are likewise placed adjacent to each other for securely attaching the same to each other with a plurality of fastener members. An adjustment bolt is position at each respective end portion of each bracket member for leveling the top surface of the elongated planar members at their point of joinder.

  • Publication number: 20120034986
Abstract: A pool table corner assembly for forming a corner pocket including a pair of adjacent rail members, a corner casting member, and a pocket member. Each rail member includes a supporting flange portion, a recessed portion, and a generally horizontal top surface. The corner casting member includes an overhanging mounting flange for mating with the recessed portion of each rail member thereby allowing the upper surface of the corner casting member to lie flush with the top surface of each rail member, and a recessed portion extending along at least a portion of its inner wall for receiving a lip portion associated with the pocket member, the lip portion having a top surface which lies flush with the upper surface of the corner casting member. In another embodiment, the corner casting member includes at least one spike member for engaging the supporting flange portion of the corresponding rail member.
