  • Patent number: 8794935
Abstract: In an axial fan including a motor, a substrate that connects ends of a plurality of coils is disposed at a position axially under a bottom portion of a case with an axial gap therebetween. A spacer is interposed between the substrate and the bottom portion, and the substrate is fixed to the spacer. A plurality of through holes provided in the bottom portion are disposed in axial alignment with a plurality of through holes provided in the spacer. An air flow produced by rotation of an impeller at least partially passes through the interior of the case to be discharged to outside of the case through the through holes in the bottom portion so that heat generated inside the motor can be efficiently transferred to outside of the case.

  • Patent number: 8479702
Abstract: A small-sized vehicle has an oil control valve for a hydraulically-actuated mechanism of an engine, and provides good cooling of the oil control valve. A small-sized vehicle includes a spool valve for adjusting a hydraulic pressure for a hydraulically-actuated mechanism of an engine. The spool valve is disposed sideways of a cylinder portion (cylinder head) such that an axis of the spool valve extends substantially in parallel with an axis of the cylinder portion. Further, the spool valve is disposed at a position that is rearward of a radiator and that falls within a vertical span of the radiator in a vehicle side view.

  • Patent number: 8047724
Abstract: A wheel bearing apparatus includes a roller bearing, an inner shaft having an outer circumferential surface to which an inner ring of the roller bearing is installed, a coupler ring attached to an end portion of the inner shaft, and a caulked portion provided in an end portion of the inner shaft so as to fix the coupler ring and the roller bearing to the inner shaft so as to be immovable in an axial direction of the inner shaft. An outer diameter of the coupler ring is set smaller than a diameter of a shoulder portion of the inner ring. Alternatively, a protruding portion is provided in any one of opposing end surfaces of the coupler ring and the inner ring, whereby the coupler ring is arranged away from a seal member. Accordingly, it is possible to avoid an interference of the coupler ring with the seal member.

  • Publication number: 20080008410
Abstract: A sensor-equipped rolling bearing apparatus includes a hub spindle, an outer ring concentrically disposed around an outer periphery of the hub spindle, first and second inner rings fitted on the hub spindle to rotate together with the hub spindle, with ends of their smaller rib portions opposed to each other, two rows of tapered rollers disposed respectively between the outer ring and the first inner ring and between the outer ring and the second inner ring, and a sensor for detecting a rotating state of the hub spindle 11. A cylindrical portion is formed integrally at an end of the smaller rib portion of the first inner ring, and extends toward the end of the smaller rib portion of the second inner ring in an axial direction. A detection portion for enabling the sensor to detect the rotating state is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical portion.
