  • Publication number: 20240070638
Abstract: A product registration device includes a display screen, a network interface, a storage memory unit for storing a customer identification, a product reader configured to read commodity identification information from a product to be purchased in a sales transaction, and a processor. The processor is configured to register commodity identification information read by the product reader in association with a transaction identification on an external server device connected via the network interface, then acquire the transaction identification for the sales transaction from the external server device, generate a code symbol encoding the acquired transaction identification and the customer identification from the storage memory unit, and cause the display screen to display the generated code symbol.

  • Patent number: 8397526
Abstract: In a controller for a refrigerating system including refrigerating machines and showcases, a showcase that is about to execute a defrost operation is detected on the basis of a defrost operation indicating information. When the controller receives a notification indicating start of the defrost operation from the showcase concerned or on the basis of a comparison result between a pre-stored defrost-operation start time and the present time, at least one of the refrigerating machines is instructed to reduce the output power thereof. When the showcase finishes the defrost operation, the at least one of the refrigerating machines is instructed to increase the output power thereof so that the output power of the refrigerating machine is set to stationary output power.

  • Publication number: 20120066102
Abstract: A system and method for vending digitized content over an Internet network path, at least a portion of which is wireless, such as an SDMA high data rate directional wireless path. Content in the form of IP packets is provided to a user terminal via a connect server in response to user requests, which can be real-time requests or which can be requests embodied in a user-defined or system-defined user profile. The user is billed using one or more of several billing paradigms, including by the content piece, by the number of IP packets sent to the user, by the length of time the user accesses the system, by the subscription, and so on.

  • Patent number: 7819674
Abstract: A surface mounting lug terminal formed of a metallic plate having terminal leads and positioning projections can readily be positioned on a printed board with high precision by fitting the positioning projections into positioning cutouts formed in the printed board. The terminal leads of the surface mounting lug terminal can easily be soldered to land patterns on the printed board to secure the surface mounting lug terminal onto the printed board irrespective of the number of terminal leads. The surface mounting lug terminal can be reduced in size, thus to contribute miniaturization of electronic circuits.

  • Patent number: 6956833
Abstract: A method and system for remotely storing data on a server through a wireless connection instead of storing data locally in a consumer device, as well as devices for use with the method and system. More particularly, a video camera, still camera, laptop computer, or other consumer device which normally stores data in local memory such as film, disk, random access memory, memory sticks, or other forms of storage would transmit the data to a remote server through a wireless connection. The data would be saved on the remote server for subsequent retrieval through, for example, the Internet or a wireless connection to the server. In addition, data not originating from the user device could be downloaded to the consumer device. The data to be retrieved can be specified by the user, or sent to the user according to a user profile stored on the server.

  • Patent number: 5136865
Abstract: A low-temperature storage of the invention has N refrigeration units that may be used for independently refrigerating N chambers, and a controller having N sets of temperature region setting means and corresponding N temperature settling means usable for N refrigeration chambers. Each of said temperature region setting means comprises a plurality of temperature control switches which may assume a combination of ON and/or OFF states for establishing a desired temperature region in an associated chamber. Furthermore, within respective temperature regions, desirable temperatures may be preset by associated temperature setting means. When the number chambers available is less than N, said controller may be used for controlling an arbitrary number of refrigeration chambers in a desired combination of modes by setting non-used set of said temperature setting means in prohibited mode.

  • Patent number: 5018363
Abstract: An apparatus for preparing ice creams, wherein a freezing cylinder is constituted such that a liquid mix supplied from a mix tank is stirred in a stirring apparatus that is installed in the inside of the freezing cylinder, and refrigerated so as to complete ice creams, any amount of which can be dispensed through a dispensing port. For the cleaning and sterilization of the inside of the cylinder, the inside is heated by reversing the flow of heat media which are to be circulated through the refrigerating part of the cylinder to dissolve and automatically withdraw the ice creams in the cylinder, then cleaned several times by supplying and discharging hot water, to and from the inside, and after that sterilized by supplying hot water to the inside, and discharging the water from it.

  • Patent number: 4962648
Abstract: The refrigeration apparatus according to the invention has a main refrigeration line comprising a compressor, a condenser which are installed outdoor, and a decompression device, an evaporator and a refrigerant flow rate control valve which are installed indoor, all connected in a loop. The main refrigerant line is provided with an auxiliary refrigerant line that connects the input side of the decompression device in the main refrigerant line with the inlet side of the compressor via a bypass valve. The lowering in the suction pressure of the compressor is detected if it happens, and the pressure is restored by opening the bypass valve by throttling the refrigerant flow rate control valve, so that the compressor may be kept on running.
