Abstract: The bag binder system is adaptable to a variety of trash cans and securely fastens a trash bag to a trash can and allows a user to quickly and easily change the trash bag when needed. The bag binder system includes a high-friction strap with one end threaded through a two-hole retaining clip and attached to one end of an adjustable strap lock assembly whereas the opposite end of the high-friction strap is threaded through and attached to the alternative end of the adjustable strap lock assembly to create a closed loop. The two-hole retaining clip allows adjustability of the high-friction strap to accommodate a variety of trash can shapes and sizes. The adjustable strap lock assembly quickly locks or releases the tension created in the high-friction strap. The combination of tension and grip provided by the high-friction strap securely fastens the trash bag to the trash can.
