  • Publication number: 20240423938
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composition for forming a protective barrier in the stomach, aimed at alleviating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and promoting oral and gastrointestinal health. The composition comprises an alginate complex including Sodium Bicarbonate, Sodium Alginate, Calcium Pantothenate, Ginger (root) Powder, Celery (root) Powder, and Aloe Vera (inner leaf) Powder. The composition forms a gel-like substance upon contact with saliva, creating a physical barrier that minimizes acid reflux. Additionally, the composition is incorporated into a chewing gum, which provides ease of use for the user and promotes overall oral hygiene. The gum includes natural sweeteners for preservation and improved taste, ensuring consumer acceptability.

  • Publication number: 20230000899
Abstract: An alginate-based nutritional product (“AP”) comprising a composition and digestive aid. AP includes alginate as a demulcent (protective), raft-forming, stabilizing agent, polylysine, dextrose and grapefruit seed extract preservatives. The pharmaceutical composition is intended for the relief or prophylaxis of acid reflux and other forms of indigestion in mammals. In some embodiments, dextrose and polylysine are combined to form a preservative for the alginate-based nutritional supplement. In other embodiments, dextrose (or other common sugars known in the art), grapefruit seed extract, and polylysine are combined to form a preservative for the alginate-based nutritional supplement.

  • Publication number: 20170152653
Abstract: A device for facilitating flushing a toilet having a push button. The device comprises a lever having a first end and a second end. A handle is coupled to the first end of the lever. A pivot mechanism is located between the first end and the second end such that the lever rotates about the pivot mechanism. The pivot mechanism is configured to be attachably coupled to a tank cover of the toilet. In one embodiment, the pivot mechanism comprises a downward facing surface having two suction cups, wherein each suction cup is configured for removably coupling the pivot mechanism to a surface of the tank. A hammer head coupled to the second end of the lever. The hammer head is configured for pushing the push button located on the tank cover.

  • Patent number: 9662376
Abstract: The present application provides stabilized formulations of furin (e.g., rfurin) containing a sugar, sugar alcohol, and/or non-ionic surfactant. As compared to non-stabilized compositions, the furin formulations disclosed herein retain greater amounts of furin activity and monomeric furin content, while reducing furin aggregation when stored and/or subjected to mechanical stress. Also provided are methods for stably diluting furin (e.g., rfurin) compositions.

  • Patent number: 6428960
Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method for producing recombinant baculoviruses expressing genes of interest by inserting a selectable marker gene, specifically the puromycin resistance (pac) gene, adjacent to the gene of interest into the baculovirus genome, and selecting for viruses that express the selectable marker. Selection of the recombinant virus in the presence of a selection condition, such as puromycin-containing cell culture media, simplifies virus production by eliminating the need for cloning, and testing the virus for gene expression. Such expression systems are readily adapted to an automated method for expression foreign genetic material in a high throughput manner.
