  • Publication number: 20050160559
Abstract: A door handle includes a damper wherein a difference in torque changed according to a rotational direction becomes large. A rotor and a valve are completely separated and only the rotor rotates, so that it is possible to significantly reduce torque applied to the rotor. When the rotor and the valve are connected or separated, torque applied to the rotor is changed greatly. Accordingly, instead of gradually changing torque according to a rotational angle of the rotor, it is possible to set a specific point where torque is changed.

  • Patent number: 6913125
Abstract: A damper includes a housing having a cylindrical shape and filled with a viscous fluid, a first rotor rotatably received in the housing and having a first connecting portion formed at an end portion thereof, and a second rotor rotatably housed in the housing coaxially with the first rotor and having a second connecting portion formed at an end portion thereof. The first and second connecting portions engage to allow the first and second rotors together, and forms a space therebetween to allow the viscous fluid to pass therethrough. An elastic member urges the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion to connect together, and accumulates an elastic force in a state that the connection between the first and second connecting portions is released.

  • Publication number: 20050077130
Abstract: A rotary damper includes a housing; a viscous fluid filled in the housing; a rotor disposed inside the housing and having a shaft part partially protruding from the housing and a resistance part provided on the shaft part for moving in the viscous fluid inside the housing; and a seal member for sealing between the shaft part and the housing to prevent leakage of the viscous fluid. The rotary damper further includes a first sloping part provided on an upstream side of the rotating resistance part and having a distance relative to an inner surface of the housing gradually decreasing toward a downstream side; and a second sloping part provided on a downstream side of the rotating resistance part and having a distance relative to the inner surface of the housing gradually increasing toward a downstream side.

  • Patent number: 6857675
Abstract: A damper unit includes a gear having a core member projecting at a shaft core portion thereof and rotatably housed in a case, a string wound around the core member, a rotary damper engaging the gear for damping a rotational force of the gear, and a spring. One end of the spring is fixed to the case and the other end thereof is fixed to the core member so that an elastic force is accumulated when the string is pulled out.

  • Publication number: 20050023089
Abstract: A damper device applies damping force to a movable body assembled on a fixed body. The damper device includes a damping part, a clutch case attached to one of the fixed body and the movable body in a state having received the damping part, and a rack part moving or relatively moving accompanying movement of the movable body. The damper device effectively operate the movable body.

  • Publication number: 20040045398
Abstract: A damper includes a housing having a substantially cylindrical shape and filled with viscous fluid; a rotor portion rotatably supported inside the housing; fin portions projecting from the rotor portion; and deformable portions provided in the fin portions for changing a clearance between an end of the fin portion and an inner peripheral surface of the housing in response to resistance received\ed from the viscous fluid. The deformable portion is provided in the fin portion to allow the fin portion to deform elastically in response to the resistance received from the viscous fluid, and to change the clearance between the end of the fin portion and the inner peripheral surface of the housing.

  • Patent number: 6530121
Abstract: A hinge unit is formed of a case with an inside wall, a rotating cam freely rotatably accommodated inside the case, a slide cam accommodated inside the case such that the slide cam is prevented from rotating relative to the case and is moved freely in an axial direction along the inside wall of the case, and an urging device accommodated inside the case to urge the slide cam toward the rotating cam. Cam surfaces are formed on the rotating cam and the slide cam to abut against each other. The cam surfaces has a contact range from a full-surface contact to a partial contact according to a relative rotational angle of the slide cam and rotating cam.

  • Patent number: 4205856
Abstract: A pickup cartridge for reproducing disk-shaped record carriers having a spiral groove as an information track carrying audio and/or video information. A horn-shaped resilient seal member prevents entry of foreign matters, such as moisture or dust into the cartridge casing, through which member a cantilever carrying at its front end a stylus extends. This seal member keeps characteristics of the cartridge transducer within the casing always optimum.
