  • Patent number: 6857735
Abstract: A color image transfer method includes performing solid printing of an image portion on a hydrophilic transfer sheet coated with a water-soluble resin with an aqueous solution ink containing a component that dissolves the resin and imparts the resin with an adhesive property for a desired time by use of an ink jet printer, scattering heat-bondable resin powder onto the solid printed portion and fixing it thereto while removing the powder from portions other than the image portion, printing with a sublimation ink so that the image may be in register with the solid-printed image, superimposing the image surface on an article to be transferred and heat pressing, and peeling off the transfer sheet from the article to be transferred by giving moisture to the transfer sheet. The method enables single-part production of articles for full color image printing and can transfer only an image portion as in screen printing.

  • Patent number: 6652087
Abstract: A method for forming an image, including providing an ink jet receiving film including a resin made film or substrate having a resin layer on its surface and an ink jet receiving layer provided thereon, ink jet printing an image on the ink jet receiving layer with an ink containing a sublimating or volatile dye, heating the ink jet receiving layer having the printed image to allow the printed image to migrate to the resin made film or to the surface resin layer of the substrate, and then peeling off the ink jet receiving layer as a film layer. By the method of the present invention, a sharp full color image can be imparted using an ink jet printer on any desired film article having a resin layer on its surface in a state where the surface gloss is retained. Concerning film articles in a sheet state, a full color image of a predetermined size can be formed in a simple and inexpensive manner.

  • Patent number: 6205109
Abstract: A sled motor mounting structure is provided with a sled motor which having a rotation shaft and a lead screw which is mounted on the rotation shaft and is in mesh with a mated gear, the rotation shaft being constructed so as to have a play in its axial direction for enabling a smooth rotation; and a stopper provided in front of the tip of the rotation shaft of the sled motor such that the tip of the rotation shaft comes to abutment thereto when the rotation shaft is displaced toward the tip direction thereof within the play due to the rotation of the lead screw which is in mesh with the mated gear, thereby restricting the tip of the rotation shaft from further movement in the axial direction thereof. The stopper is arranged at a prescribed distance from the tip of the rotation shaft when the rotation shaft is moved to the base end within the play. The prescribed distance is set to be less than the play in the axial direction, for example it lies within the range of 0.02 mm-0.05 mm.
