    Abstract: The dimensions of the fitting part of an actuator are to be dramatically reduced while enabling control items such as a driving motor and a position sensor of standard designs to be fitted around outside the actuator. To achieve this purpose, the actuator is provided with a trunnion type universal joint including: a fitting shaft, holding members and a rotary block having a nut arranged in it; a ball screw that is screwed into the nut of the universal joint and, being operationally linked to a driving power source, can move the nut back and forth; and a ball screw guide that is provided on the universal joint and guides the back-and-forth moving direction of the ball screw.

    Abstract: A guide roller assembly for use in a guide roller mechanism of a crawler type vehicle, including a support shaft fixedly provided on a truck frame and a guide roller rotatably mounted on the support shaft through bearings. The guide roller has an integral unitary body structure of a stepped cylindrical shape having a radially bulged portion formed integrally by plastic deformation in an axially intermediate portion between cylindrical end portions of a smaller diameter, and having a uniform wall thickness over the entire length of the guide roller. The guide roller is improved in strength and can realize a substantial cut in production cost.

The member passing through the hole (5) may be an electric conductor (2), a pipe member for flowing gas or liquid, a heat pipe for flowing a heat medium, an optical fiber for transferring an optical signal, or the like, and the structure is arranged such that the member passing through the hole is disposed through a synthetic resin seal member (3) and the hole (5) is sealed based on the confinement effected by the plastic deforming action of the base member (4) and the deforming action of the seal member (3) effected by making use of the elastic plasticity thereof, whereby the structure exhibits an excellent pressure resistive performance and can effectively seal the hole (5).

    Abstract: A sliding member is sulphonitride by heating at 480.degree.-600.degree. C. in the presence of both 10-500 ppm of a hydrogen sulfide gas and a 20-70 vol % ammonia gas, or by a method which comprises performing a primary heat treatment on the sliding member at 450.degree.-540.degree. C. in the presence of 50-200 ppm of a hydrogen sulfide gas and a 10-70 vol % ammonia gas, then ceasing the supply of the ammonia gas, slowly reducing the temperature to a level of 200.degree.-350.degree. C., and performing a secondary heat treatment at that temperature level. By the either method, the sliding member having a FeS.sub.2 on its topmost surface can be obtained.

    Abstract: A sliding member having a layer of FeS.sub.2 on its surface is formed by sulphonitriding the member by heatint it at 480.degree. C.-600.degree. C. in the presence of both 10-500 ppm of a hydrogen sulfide gas and 20-70 vol % ammonia gas. An alternate heating method involves performing a primary heat treatment on the sliding member at 450.degree.-540.degree. C. in the presence of 50-200 ppm of a hydrogen sulfite gas and a 10-70 vol % ammonia gas, then ceasing the supply of the ammonia gas, slowly reducing the temperature to between 200.degree.-350.degree. C., and performing a secondary heat treatment at that temperature level.

The pressure sensor with which the strain detecting section is formed on the diaphragm surface is formed by the use of semiconductor manufacture technology by making the diaphragm of the pressure sensor in the form of a thin plate member. The diaphragm and the support member are joined together by diffusion bonding, and heat treatment for this diffusion bonding is also utilized to crystallize the semiconductor strain gauges.

A differential pressure generating means is disposed in the main fluid passage for generating differential pressures that correspond to the flow rate in the main fluid passage.
