Abstract: A system, method and software permitting the publication of resource availability information and the management of reservation requests therefor are provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a resource provider provides authorization, availability, descriptive, linking and criteria information for a resource available for reservation presented on a publicly accessible web site. Users permitted to access to the data can browse and search the published resource related data and request appointments with or reservations of the listed resources. Resource providers are permitted to actively or automatically manage reservations and appointments requesting their resources. Available on a publicly accessible web site, resource providers may also control and define access limitations for various groups of viewers.

Abstract: Heterogeneous resources, such as video conference, audio conference, network, conference room and catering resources, are scheduled through a uniform interface to satisfy a meeting organizer's constraints to have a properly configured meeting with selected of the heterogeneous resources. A prioritized list of sets of heterogeneous resources is determined for scheduling of a selected set, such as the set having the least estimated cost. Automated scheduling tracks resource availability, restricts access to predetermined resources, ensures that rescheduling results in a proper configuration, notifies attendees in an individualized manner, and initiates resource use according to the schedule.

Abstract: A collaboration archive recorder accepts information from plural media through a network and archives the information as a collaboration session having a temporal relationship between the stored media information for subsequent recreation of the collaboration. A media input interface accepts plural media types, such as audio, video, Web conferencing and application specific information, and provides the information to an archive engine for conversion to an archive format in which the information is related to each other by its presentation time during the collaboration. An archive output adapter presents all or selected portions of the collaboration session through a user interface that allows selection of archived information by content and the temporal relationship.
