    Abstract: A luggage stabilization system is disclosed system that stabilizes and protects a piece of luggage when it is temporarily removed from a vehicle and placed on a horizontal surface. The stabilization system is positioned on the bottom side of the piece of luggage and is configured to prevent the luggage from contacting the horizontal surface and to stabilize the luggage laterally and rotationally. Methods for retrofitting a piece of luggage for a vehicle is also disclosed.
