Publication number: 20170008079Abstract: A cast molding method accomplishes the cast molding by a smelting chamber, a casting chamber, a hinge press system and a vacuum system. First, a metallic die is assembled in the casting chamber and then a metallic material is put in the smelting chamber. Next, the metallic material is heated up in a vacuum state and the casting chamber is pre-heated at a same time. After the metallic material in the smelting chamber has been melted down and the casting chamber has been vacuumized, the melted metallic material is filled into the metallic die, and then the hinge press system is turned on to cast mold the metallic die, resulting in a semi-solid product. After the semi-solid product has been cooled down, the product of cast molding is accomplished according to the present invention.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2015Publication date: January 12, 2017Inventors: TIEN-KEN LIANG, CHUN-YUNG HUANG, MING-CHIA TSAI, WEIDONG XING, NING ZHANG

Patent number: 9101974Abstract: A manufacturing method of an iron-type golf club head has acts of preparing a formed bar-shaped steel substrate, rough-hot forging the bar-shaped steel substrate, mid-hot forging the rough blank, fine-cold forging the mid-blank, cold stamping the striking surface and drilling a hosel of the iron-type golf club head. The cold forging reduces the thermal expansion and contraction of the blank, and the shape of the forged blank is more accurate therefore. As a result, the following grinding processes of the blank are reduced. Therefore, the weight of the blank is more accurate, and the manufacturing time and cost are also reduced. The blank does not have to be heated to high-temperature state prior to cold forging so that the blank can be cooled down faster, and the cost of the heating is reduced.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2012Date of Patent: August 11, 2015Assignee: HER CHANG TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD.Inventors: Ming-Ching Liang, Chin-Lang Lee, Tien-Ken Liang

Publication number: 20100050409Abstract: A method for making a golf club head includes steps for processing upper and lower shells of the head. A metal- or non-metal-based composite material is provided which has a necessary thickness and whose area and total width are enough for making at least two unit shells, as determined by widths and surface curvatures of the upper and lower shells. A strip of excess material is reserved at a border between the unit shells. The two alternately or non-alternately arranged unit shells are integrally formed through a forming process, wherein an extension force generated while the unit shells are formed is constrained by the excess material to reduce deformation of the unit shells, so that the formed unit shells have flat cutting surfaces when the excess material is cut off, allowing the upper and lower shells thus made to have precise dimensions, improved ends of parts and close contact surfaces.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2008Publication date: March 4, 2010Inventors: Ming-Ching Liang, Tien-Ken Liang
